Chuck- Latest from Kristin Laura in Calif.: Have you gotten any more Chuck scoop? As promised by Josh Schwartz at Comic-Con, we're going to meet the Awesomes this season. Specifically, they're set to arrive for a little wedding-related meddling in episode nine. (And as a consequence we'll learn Capt. Awesome's real last name!) I'm also hearing that Father Awesome volunteers to walk Ellie down the aisle since her own dad is not around, but she freaks out at that prospect. I bet that Chuck ends up walking her down the aisle. Back in the present, Sarah is feeling bored with her cover job at The Orange Orange. Not much going on in the spy world right now. But things start to get interesting when her father, Jack Henry, shows up. Unaware of his daughter’s real job, Jack Henry thinks she’s pulling a con on Chuck and wants in on the scheme. Chuck displays a previously unknown talent, but when things go awry and Jack Henry is taken hostage, Sarah faces a difficult choice.

Chuck - Casting News Chuck’s casting gurus are firing on all cylinders this season! As I previously reported, the NBC spymedy (new word, thoughts?) will feature guest star Jordana Brewster in a multi-episode arc as Chuck’s college girlfriend Jill, while Nicole Richie will pop up in an October ep as a gun-toting former Mean Girl/classmate of Chuck’s CIA gal pal, Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski). Now, sources confirm to me exclusively that Morgan Fairchild and Bruce “Scarecrow” Boxleitner have just been cast as the parents of Ryan McPartlin’s Captain Awesome. Fairchild, recently seen -- by a few people, anyway -- bitchslapping Bo Derek on MyNetworkTV’s Fashion House, will play Dr. Honey Woodcombe. She arrives in time to take over help plan her son’s wedding to Chuck’s sister, Ellie (Sarah Lancaster). Boxleitner will be her awesomely named husband, Dr. Woody Woodcombe, who is said to be very excited to help welcome Ellie into his family — maybe too excited. (Gross. I love it!) Meanwhile, I spy yet another Alias/Chuck connection: Carl Lumbly, aka Alias’ Marcus Dixon, will appear this fall as “sensei” to NSA agent Casey (Adam Baldwin). As you'll recall, Kevin Weisman (Alias’ gizmo geek Marshall) played a gymnastically-gifted terrorist on Chuck last season. You're next, Victor Garber! Oh, wait, he's on Eli Stone... You're next, Greg Grunberg! Oh, wait, he's on Heroes... You're next, Jennifer Garner! Oh, wait, she's busy making movies and babies... Help me out here -- who's next? Source: EW

Meet The Awesomes!More fabulous Chuck casting news, courtesy of Ausiello at EW: Captain Awesome’s parents have been cast! Mama Awesome, aka Dr. Honey Woodcombe, will be played by Morgan Fairchild, while Papa Awesome, aka Dr. Woody Woodcombe, will be played by Bruce Boxleitner. Chandler’s Mom and the Scarecrow? AWESOME! They’ll first show up in episode 2.09, “Chuck vs. the Sensei”. Also guest starring in this episode is Carl Lumbly (formerly Marcus Dixon on Alias) who will play the titular sensei, a man Casey knows well. Carl is the second Alias alum to guest star on the show, following Kevin Weisman’s turn last season. This season is shaping up to be a goldmine of great casting! EPISODE 9: Chuck vs. the Sensei

Latest from Korbi Scrubbing In With Moi: The filming of my Scrubs cameo last week went quite well, thank you for asking. And though I won't get into the specifics of my role -- the producers are being very protective of the material -- I will tell you that both Elizabeth Banks (J.D.'s baby mama) and Scott Foley (Elliot's ex-love) are in my episode. And, yeah, you could say their storylines intersect... One True Love?: I don't know if that's the case for Tree Hill's Lucas Scott, who called one of three women in last Spring's season finale, to propose marriage. Word is, he'll still be with Lindsey two months into this next season, so I'm thinking she's the lucky lady. But since Michaela McManus is now a regular on Law & Order: SVU, we know the Lucas-Lindsey love story is bound to end sooner rather than later. Gossip Girls & Boys: Wondering who's with whom this season and where it's all going? Well, despite the hot Cougar in Nate's life, his relationship with Vanessa is far from finished, Blair's got herself a new boyfriend -- much to Chuck's chagrin -- and Serena and Dan are so not over each other. Bonehead Move: Looks like the engagement of Bones' Angela and Hodgins will be broken this year after Angela takes relationship advice from Sweets. And on the subject of bad advice, it seems the incarcerated Zack -- whom Sweets visits often -- is blaming Gormagon for his murderous actions. Zack apparently understands that what he did was wrong and he's sorry that he fell for the line of B.S. Gormagon fed him, but he stands by the fact that he was just following what he believed to be right at the time. Dirty Sexy Attorney: Producers are being tight-lipped about Lucy Liu's character, Nola Lyons, but I have it on good authority that Lyons is a lawyer who'll go head-to-head with Nick in the courtroom this Fall. As I mentioned months ago, Nick will be defending Letitia Darling -- the main suspect in his father's murder case -- and I'm now hearing that Nola works for the New York District Attorney's office. But Letitia isn't the only Darling that ADA Lyons is concerned with. Word is, the lady will have a hot and heavy affair with young Jeremy. Father Chucker: Remember how I told you that Chuck Bartowski's partner/pretend girlfriend Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) has some daddy issues that we'll be learning more about this season? Yes, well, I'm now hearing we'll be meeting said daddy. A skilled con artist, who often used his daughter as a good distraction during a scheme, Sarah's pop will supposedly team with Chuck and company on a top secret mission. He'll also pass judgement on his kid's relationship with C.B. and shed a little light on their true feelings for each other.Greek Gods: How glad are you that Greek is back? Funny story, I accidentally stumbled into the cast's kick off party at an L.A. lounge last night. So random, but it was super fun to watch Rusty (Jacob Zachar) and Dale (Clark Duke) get hit on my legions of cute, young girls. And speaking of cute, young girls vying for the attention of a guy, do not forget to watch next Tuesday's episode of the show. This hour is easily one of the funniest eps Greek has turned out so far, and I'm not just saying that because I got to go to the table read for it -- though that was kind of awesome too. Chuck - Casting News Remember me telling you how Chuck's casting Gods were firing on all cylinders this season? Well, guess what? They just shot off another round! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Gary Cole, last seen as Dana Delany's creepazoid ex on Desperate Housewives, has been cast as the charming con-man father of Yvonne Strahovski's Sarah. Daddy Grifter is slated pay a visit during November sweeps. Speaking of Chuck, I screened this season's first two episodes over the weekend and I have but one thing to say: Believe the hype. I honestly don't remember the last time I was so thoroughly entertained by two hours of television Source: EW

Chuck- Episode 2.11 This is the Christmas episode and of course it’s not going to be a time of good cheer for our friends. It’s Christmas Eve and a gunman is holding the Buy More employees - plus Sarah, Ellie and Awesome - hostage. Casey is injured and reluctantly allows himself to be one of the first hostages traded by Ned, the gunman, who just wants to go home to his family. Awesome draws on his football background to come up with a play to take out Ned, but Chuck knows how dangerous a scared man with a gun can be and begs Awesome not to be awesome. As the negotiations continue, however, Chuck suddenly realizes that all is not what it seems. Someone here is Fulcrum, and they’ve figured out that something - or someone - in the Buy More is under government protection. Now Chuck has to decide whether to risk the lives of his friends and loved ones to keep the Intersect secure, or give Fulcrum what they want. Meanwhile, Morgan needs to make a bold statement to win back Anna’s affections and Chuck gives Sarah a very special gift which makes her see just how much he cares about her. Source: ChuckTV.net

Chuck - Latest from Ausiello Question: As for the first two Chuck episodes that you were soo lucky to watch, are there any good Chuck and Sarah moments in the second episode? -- Laura Ausiello: Actually, two of my favorite Chuck-Sarah moments ever take place in episode 2. One involves Sarah making a grand, Huey Lewis-rockin' entrance into Buy More and then planting a kiss on Chuck (think Phoebe Cates' famous scene in Fast Times, only with fewer bare breasts), and the other finds John Larroquette's washed-up James Bond assessing Chuck's 007 potential by having him perform an impromptu seduction of Sarah. Yvonne Strahovski's reaction to Chuck's lame moves is pure romantic comedy gold. Question: Am I correct in assuming that the death in the first Chuck episode is a character that probably won't be missed all that much by most fans? -- Gary Ausiello: Yikes, that's harsh. Kinda-sorta true, but harsh nonetheless. You kiss your mother with that mouth? Source: EW

Chuck - Episode 2.01 - Chuck vs The First Date - Full Episode Synopsis Thanks to Michelle from Zachary-Levi.com for alerting me to the following VERY detailed synopsis of the Season 2 Premiere of Chuck which aired at the Paley Screening. It was attended by Ivy Gabrielle from their forums. Click SPOILER BOX BELOW if you really want to know what happens!! * The episode begins with MCD (Colt) holding/hanging Chuck out the window by his tie. Chuck is holding the Cipher in his hand… Colt tells Chuck to tell him everything and Chuck says: “you wouldn’t believe me..” * Chuck tells him how govt. secrets got downloaded into his brain.. the whole shebang and Colt says, “that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard…” Colt was about to drop him but then Sarah and Casey rushes in to save him. Colt lets go of Chuck and escapes out the window. This is where you see the scene where Sarah says to Chuck, “I told you to stay in the car!” And Chuck replies, “It’s never safe in the car!” * There’s a scene in Casey’s apartment where the generals tell Chuck that he should be a free man soon because of the cipher. The cipher is the brain, or the key to completing the new intersect. * Chuck walks out and Sarah follows him. Sarah asks if he was okay and Chuck says “yeah, yeah I’m okay” because he knew that Sarah and Casey wouldn’t be protecting him forever. * You can tell that Chuck is thinking about what he can/should do after the Intersect is complete. Sarah tells him that he can pretty much do anything, he’s seen him in action * The very next day he wakes up (very cheery) and pretty much walks in on his sister and Captain Awesome in the shower. Things are very awkward but this is when Chuck tells Ellie that he is looking into quitting the Buy More, find something new. * He goes to work and that’s where Morgan shows him a poster-sized strategic plan for Call of Duty, with a bunch of positions, the number of troops, etc. Big Mike interrupts by yelling at Chuck to come into his office. He offers Chuck the job of assistant manager but Chuck turns it down (because he was thinking of newer/better things). Because he turned it down, Big Mike makes it Chuck’s job to find the new assistant manager. * Chuck then goes to the ‘Double O’ where we see the scene with Sarah pouring frozen yogurt in the cup and licking her fingers in slow motion. Chuck tells her the he misses the Wienerlicious but her outfit is enticing (or something like that) and Sarah tells him that her clothes smell like sausage. * Chuck asks her out on a real date and she says that she is still in the CIA and there are several reasons why she shouldn’t. Chuck tells her that in a few weeks or so she can be half way around the world and she’ll probably be thinking how she should have taken the chance to have a night of fun with him. She smiles, and says ‘okay’ and Chuck is like “really?” * We see Chuck and Sarah getting ready and there’s a shot where Sarah looks at her gun, probably thinking if she should bring it, but decides to leave it behind. * They go on their date to the Chinese restaurant. Sarah asks Chuck how he heard of the place and he said that it was actually Morgan who told him. Sarah said something that poked fun at Morgan and Chuck told her that Morgan is actually very supportive of their fake relationship. Then it gets really cute when Sarah makes Chuck tell her what he thinks about her.. that she’s smart, cool, extremely beautiful.. and she says “you’re not so bad yourself.” Chuck: “Please, I’m terrific” Sarah: “Yeah, you are” * While they are on their date, Casey hands over the Cipher to a guy that is supposedly from the NSA (Casey asks him about codes and stuff before he hands him the Cipher). After handing him the Cipher, Casey asks the guy where his backup is and the guy pretty much sprays Casey with poison (the guy was with Colt). Casey writhes in pain with blood coming out of his mouth. He has the poisonous spray residue all over his face and that’s when he stabs himself in the chest with an epi pen of some sort. * On their date, Chuck and Sarah is about to kiss but then Chuck flashes on this guy, then a girl, then another guy. Sarah asks him what was wrong and that’s when Chuck realizes that they are surrounded. Chuck asks Sarah if she brought her gun and she says that you don’t bring a gun on a real date. * Colt walks in and tells Chuck to come with him. Sarah tries to fight him off but he has her by the neck. Casey crashes into the restaurant, Colt punches him in the face but Team Chuck escapes. Casey tells Chuck that Colt has the cipher. Sarah tells him not to worry, they’ll get it back. * Chuck wakes up in a not so happy mood and he sulks while he is at work. He still has to do the interviews for the Assistant Manager job but when Casey walks in to put ice on his scar, Chuck flashes and tells Casey he knows where Colt is. Casey and Sarah leave to get Colt.. Chuck stays and Big Mike tells him that there was a call for a computer install. * He has to do the install because the employees were in the backroom watching the cage match between the Nerd Herders. * Sarah and Casey are not in the right place and when Chuck goes to do the computer install, he finds out that Colt was the one who called. * Colt tells Chuck that’s he’s pretty much a dead man but Chuck goes into his Charles Carmichael, secret agent persona and tells Colt that he and his men are surrounded by cops, that it was Chuck who set it up. Colt laughs it off but Chuck calls Morgan, puts him on speaker phone and tells Morgan to tell him “the plan” and Morgan recites the crazy strategies for Call of Duty (it was pretty funny). Colt and his men were surprised and starts looking out the window. Chuck then takes the cipher and runs off with it. * We see Colt hanging Chuck by his feet off the rooftop. Sarah sees this and says 'freeze' but Colt lets go anyway. Sarah yells "no!!" but Casey sees Chuck falling and catches him. * Sarah fights Colt as Casey makes his way to the rooftop. Casey gets up there, tells Colt to get his hands up but then Colts men arrive and pulls their gun on them. Casey/Sarah look around realizing the predicament that they were in but Chuck comes in with a bunch of swat guys to save the day. He starts to talk to Colt directly and says: "please, let me introduce you to our people"... Sarah sighs in relief * Sarah says to Chuck: “Chuck, please tell me you have the cipher” and he’s like, “of course I do, it’s me.” Casey grabs it from him. * We see Chuck preparing dinner for the second date with Sarah while at Casey’s apartment, Beckman and Graham remind him of his orders to kill Chuck. Casey tells them that Chuck was a hero for his country today and maybe there’s a job for him as an analyst in the NSA. They decline and tell Casey that Chuck will die as a hero for his country. * Then there’s a scene where Graham and a bunch of secret agent/CIA looking people are putting the cipher into the Intersect. It looked like the pilot scene when Bryce was transferring the files and there’s these images that pop out everywhere. After it loads, a message on the computer screen popped up and it said: “Thank You, Fulcrum” * Then you see the room blowing up. * Casey is in Chuck’s apartment and is slowly sneaking closer to Chuck. The door rings and it was Sarah. She tells Chuck she has to cancel dinner because something went wrong wit the cipher. She told Chuck it was a Trojan and that he is the only Intersect. She tells Chuck that she is sorry and then Chuck sighs… * Chuck is at work the next day all depressed about the prospect of his freedom but then Morgan cheers him up by saying that Jeff is going to try to eat 90 twinkies in 3 minutes. Chuck: “no one can eat 90 twinkies” Morgan: “I know.. He might die” * Casey comes into sight and Chuck tells him about Jeff and the twinkies. Casey gives them the “you idiots” kind of look but then goes to see it anyway.. The end.. Source: Ivy Gabrielle@Zachery-Levi.com
