After several of the most emotional and heartbreaking scenes in the show's history, are Cristina and Owen really done on Grey's Anatomy? Or will this couple rise again?
Despite the apparent breakup at the end of "Elevator Love Letter" and rumors of Owen reenlisting in the Army, they're far from over, Michael Ausiello of EW assures us.
As Kevin McKidd himself told EW recently, the docs will be thrown "a huge curveball that neither of them see coming. Just as he starts to get over his thing, something else happens."
"Which is good and bad. It's like, 'Oh my God, this is big.' It will be interesting to see how it leads into next season," the 35-year-old Scottish actor added

Okay, so Shonda Rhimes said the 100th episode of Grey's Anatomy takes place on Meredith and Derek's wedding day, while other accounts have said they're not getting married.
What gives here?
Regarding the much-touted May 7 episode, EW's Michael Ausiello reminds us of Shonda Rhimes' long and well-documented history of injecting her alleged Grey's Anatomy spoilers with heavy doses of tricky and even misleading wordplay.
Case in point: Izzie doesn't have a brain tumor (she has a brain metastasis).
Michael says that unless the Grey's Anatomy script underwent an 11th hour rewrite, he stands by his earlier statement that Mer and Der do not get married on May 7.
The only thing he's unsure of is whether or not he should reveal the name of the bride and groom who are tying the knot in that episode, which he claims to know

When Grey's Anatomy finally comes back April 23, George gets a new story line. In a bit of deja vu, he once again one-ups Alex (remember the heart surgery in the elevator from way back?) when Karev freaks out in the middle of a trauma surgery. Go George!
As reported by Shonda Rhimes herself, Derek and Meredith are supposed to be getting married in the upcoming 100th episode, and Dr. Izzie Stevens' dying wish is apparently to give them the wedding she may or may not be able to ever have herself.
Is this classic Shonda misdirection, setting us up for a wedding disaster (or an unexpected couple to wed)? Or will Meredith actually become Mrs. Derek Shepherd on May 7?
Stay tuned there. As for Izzie, the current theory of E! Online is that her cancer goes into remission (but producers keep Katherine Heigl in line with a threat of new malignancies), while George joins the Army medical corps, sending T.R. Knight off into the sunset in a way that keeps him available for future guest spots. If they can afford his salary, of course.

Time for the obligatory update on T.R. Knight's efforts to flee Grey's Anatomy. Will he get his wish by the end of the season, or is the actor sticking around?
According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, it certainly sounds like, for better or for worse, Shonda Rhimes is setting the stage for Knight's exit.
A Grey's Anatomy insider is now confirming what many have previously been predicting: that our beloved George will not only (Grey's Anatomy spoiler alert!) march off to war, but he will be wounded (perhaps mortally) in the line of duty by this season's end!

Who's getting married on Grey's Anatomy? Spoiler aficionado Michael Ausiello of EW has dropped the following hint ... well, at least about who is not tying the knot:
It's not **e* and ***s***a.
Well, that's fairly easy to figure out, and we can cross them off the list. What are your latest theories on who's getting married on the big 100th episode May 7?

What is the future of T.R. Knight on Grey's Anatomy?
According to a reliable source, not even Shonda Rhimes herself knows that answer right now.
Knight's displeasure at his reduced screen time on the show has been well-documented. As a result, rumors have been circulating that George will be written out of the show.
As previously reported, the storyline that takes George away from Seattle Grace will revolve around his departure to the Army. Inspired by Dr. Hunt, the character will head overseas.
Once there, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello confirms, George will be wounded in battle. But will it be a fatal blow? No one knows for sure.
"T.R. doesn’t know whether George lives or dies," said a source close to the show. "And, as a result, he doesn't know whether or not he has to come back next season."
Is that really possible? Legally speaking, yes.
Rhimes has until mid-June to decide whether to let Knight go.
Some believe she'll torture the actor by making it sweat out his fate for as long as possible.
However, an insider scoffs at such a idea.
"At the end of the day, Shonda is going to do what's best for the show," he said. "Everything else is just idle gossip."

Circle April 30 on your calendar, Grey's Anatomy viewers. That's when a pair of parents pounce!
According to E! Online, both Thatcher Grey and Izzie's mom (guest star Sharon Lawrence, pictured) are scheduled to appear on that date's episode.
Moreover, the two men from Ellis Grey's past (the Chief and Thatcher) will finally throw down... sort of. Also, look for Robbie Stevens to come across an older version of her daughter. She'll be quite chipper, even in the face of Izzie's diagnosis.
Meanwhile, here's an update on the major wedding news fans can't stop buzzing about:
It might not be Meredith and Derek that get married on May 7, but instead Alex and Izzie. Get those tissues ready, readers!

April 30 and May 7. Based on reports that continue to come in, these appear to be major episodes in Grey's Anatomy lore.
As we've previously written about, major guest stars and significant wedding developments will take place on these dates. And we can now add a couple of news tidbits to earlier stories:
According to TV Guide, Thatcher Grey invites his daughter and her new boyfriend out to dinner on April 30. Think Mark can play the role of the respectful, well-behaved boyfriend? Or will he end of doing Lexie in the bathroom?
Also: sources say that Derek will deliver a wedding present to Meredith on the May 7 episode. The groom will gift his bride with... her first solo surgery!
AWWWW!

Major Grey's Anatomy spoiler alert!!!
With rumors circulating about which couple is getting married on the May 7 episode, a new article claims it knows the answer. For certain. Without a doubt.
Do you wanna find out now? Or wait until the installment airs?
Those that answer in the affirmative to the first question, follow this article's jump.
Jennifer Goodwin of E! News has filed the following report:
One of my coworkers was in Los Angeles on business, and when I called her and told her about Grey's filming the wedding scene, she freaked and found the set. She was there for the lunch break (she said there were two or three paps there too) but she said later Katherine Heigl was standing in the doorway with T.R. Knight, and she was smoking in a wedding dress.
She had a big jacket/robe thing over it, but she said there was no doubt it was a wedding dress. She said Katherine was only in the doorway a minute or two before they called her back in, but she has no doubt that it was a wedding dress.
This would clearly imply that Alex and Izzie tie the knot. What do you think about that?

Our favorite show is finally back on the air with a new episode this Thursday and as a result, Grey's Anatomy spoilers abound in E! Online's weekly spoiler Q&A session.
Are Cristina and Owen done? What's the latest on MerDer? How is Izzie doing? Will we see anything new with Callie and Arizona? Without further ado, here goes:
Q: Please tell me more about Meredith and Derek on Grey's Anatomy!
A: Thatcher Grey is not in the hospital because his oldest daughter is getting married. He wants to make amends: He's been sober, and he's working on his steps.
Q: Please give us something about Callie and Arizona on Grey's Anatomy. They have had so little airtime, and we want to know about their relationship. Please tell me there's more to come.
A: Arizona meets Callie's dad (played by guest star Hector Elizondo) in Thursday's episode, and he doesn't take the news of their relationship terribly well. In fact, when Callie's dad tries to get her to move home and she refuses, he cuts off her trust fund.
Q: How's Izzie doing on Grey's Anatomy?
A: As it turns out, cancer is really, really painful. Sigh. Poor Izz.
Q: Any news on when Cristina and Owen will reunite on Grey's Anatomy?
A: Unfortunately not anytime soon. Owen doesn't have time for Cristina anymore (what with his newfound interest in turning George into a trauma surgeon). Actually, to be more specific, Owen's therapist doesn't let Owen have time for her.
Yep, Owen's shrink has given him a specific list of three-word sentences he can say to Yang, but "I love you" is not one of them. Either way, Cristina is not a happy camper.
Q: Got any more Grey's Anatomy scoop?
A: Yes, and it comes from Kellie Martin of ER and Life Goes On fame. Kelly pops up on the small screen in May on both Ghost Whisperer and Grey's Anatomy.
"On Ghost Whisperer, I play a director of a soap opera, and I'm being haunted," Kellie says. "And on Grey's Anatomy, all I can say is that I don't play a patient, and I don't play a doctor. We have to respect the Grey's Anatomy cone of silence. They're very secretive. It's not integral to the crazy rumors going around right now, though

How much time has passed between the elevator proposal and tonight's all-new episode of Grey's Anatomy? What's the deal with Thatcher Grey's return? Will Meredith become pregnant now that Ellen Pompeo is? Will Denny be back yet again?
Michael Ausiello of EW has the scoop on all of this and more.
Let's let him take it away - and post comments below!
Q: Can you give us something juicy on Meredith and Derek?
A: Okay, here's something: A longtime Grey's Anatomy duo are about to break up - presumably for good - and it's not Derek and Meredith. Nope. It's Bailey and Tucker!
In the upcoming Season Five finale (Thursday, May 14), Bailey takes the bold step of leaving her husband after he once again fails to support her career.
Q: Can you tell us how much time has lapsed between the elevator proposal episode of Grey's Anatomy and the episode that airs this week?
A: A few days, I believe. It's not long at all.
Q: Any scoop on the anticipated Thatcher Grey return on Grey's Anatomy next week? I'm hoping for some overdue Meredith and Lexie scenes!
A: Two of my favorite Mer-Lexie scenes ever take place in next week's episode, but it's more a result of the thorny Derek-Mark situation than Thatcher's return.
Q: Any insight on what is going to happen with Meredith and Derek now that Ellen Pompeo is pregnant in real life?
A: If you're asking me whether there's a McBaby in their future, I don't know. I can tell you that if Pompeo takes the standard two-month maternity leave following the birth of her first child this fall, Grey's Anatomy could be Mer-less for a portion of next season. Maybe they'll send her to some really long medical convention. Or dispatch her to the parking lot to look for Dr. Hahn.
The possibilities are endless!
Q: Will Jeffrey Dean Morgan be appearing in Grey's Anatomy's 100th episode?
A: Let's examine the evidence, shall we? Exhibit A: Morgan appeared in the 100th ep photo-op, which took place on the Grey's Anatomy set during filming of the said 100th episode. Exhibit B: The official logline for the landmark ep says, "Izzie fears the worst when she begins experiencing familiar symptoms." Exhibit C: I have to warn you that this one's really spoilery, but I'm hearing ... wait, what's that? The jury has already reached a unanimous verdict?
Eh, so much for Exhibit C. It was really good, too.

Grey's Anatomy is back this evening and with but four weeks (and five episodes, if you count the two-hour season finale) to go, many questions remain as to how everything will play out with our favorite characters at Seattle Grace this spring.
Here's what Zap2it's Korbi Ghosh has to say about things in her Q&A. Most of these Grey's Anatomy spoilers aren't exactly breaking news, but it's still a fun read ...
Q: Do you have any non-relationship or Izzie's-dying-from-cancer scoop?
A: In an upcoming episode, Meredith will cross a line with a patient, which could threaten her job at Seattle Grace. The Chief says he'll fire her if she doesn't stay away from this case.
Q: Will we be seeing more George? I miss him.
A: We'll be seeing a lot more George in the next couple episodes. In fact, I'm pretty sure there's more George screen time in the next two episodes than we've had all season. And he's back to being the O'Malley we used to know: a kick ass surgeon. So that's cool.
Q: Any scoop on Arizona and Callie? They're my new favorite couple!
A: When Callie's father finds out about his daughter's relationship with another woman, he doesn't take it well. At all. In fact he cuts her off, both monetarily and emotionally. She's devastated and considers telling her family she ended things with Arizona to get back on their good side.
Q: Are Owen and Cristina going to make up any time soon?
A: Not exactly. Their relationship is in a two-steps-back, one-step-forward type stage. But Owen does tell Cristina Yang - albeit in his own way - just how strongly he feels about her on next Thursday's Grey's Anatomy ... right before he puts up another wall. Sigh.
Q: Just how long are Mark and Derek going to be fighting?
A: Not forever. But things do get testy between them that Derek tells Meredith that he wants Richard to be his best man. I mean, what girl doesn't want the dude that had an affair with her mother standing next to her husband-to-be on her wedding day?
Meredith actually tells Derek that if he invites Richard, she won't walk down the aisle.
Q: So how insane is Izzie going to get with planning the Mer-Der wedding?
A: Really insane. Remember a couple seasons back when Izzie decorated Meredith's house with Christmas stuff to get her mind off Alex's infidelity? Yeah, well this time she's dealing with cancer. And she will use her illness to get a lot of the things she wants and needs. It's working for her. I mean, she guilts Mer into trying on a lot of wedding dresses. Plus, she fools several people into thinking she's sicker than she is, so they'll come to her.

Below are some Grey's Anatomy spoilers from E! Online's weekly Q&A this morning. Here's the latest on how Izzie's doing - at least according to her mom - and what's going down between Meredith and the Chief. Spoiler alert: it could get ugly!
Q: How's Izzie doing on Grey's Anatomy?
A: Sharon Lawrence makes her debut as Izzie's mother this week, and according to Izzie's mother's psychic, Izzie is going to be just fine. You will be shocked to learn Izzie's mother's psychic is not reliable, and in point of fact, Izzie's cancer is getting worse, not better.
Q: Any scoop for this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy?
A: Meredith steps over the line with a patient this week, and that causes the fight of the century between her and the Chief. She also un-invites him from the wedding!
On a side note, if you haven't seen it, you can check out Mer and Der's official wedding website if you are looking for more details about the special day.

How will the return of Thatcher Grey (Jeff Perry) in this week's episode play out for Meredith and Lexie, who just endured the feuding of their significant others last week?
Check out this excerpt from TV Guide's spoiler Q&A today and see what you think ...
Q: I adored all of the "McFamily" scenes last week on Grey's Anatomy. What's next for Mark, Lexie, Meredith and Derek?
A: For Mark and Lexie, much cuteness is on the immediate horizon. I mean, as much as Thatcher Grey makes my skin crawl, the way things play out when he returns is better than I expected.
For Mer and Der, there's the none-too-small matter of a stern ultimatum coming from the bride. As that gets sorted out, the would-be marrieds will find cause to fast-track their wedding, so get to updating that website, Izzie!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirms what the sneak previews of "What a Difference a Day Makes" have already shown - that he will reprise his role as Denny on Grey's Anatomy once again in this fifth season. But then that's it, he insists. Really.
"I can confirm that I will be coming back one more time," he revealed to EW at last weekend's Hollywood premiere of Star Trek. "I think it will be done after that. I think that I have officially been on the Grey's Anatomy set for the last time."
Morgan wouldn't comment on when exactly Denny turns up, but we know he will reappear as a figment of Izzie's cancer-ravaged imagination in Thursday's 100th episode.
"Denny has a reason to show up," Morgan teased.
"And it's probably tied to Izzie's health."
Given the number of times Denny has returned to Grey's Anatomy since he died in the epic Season 2 finale three years ago, Morgan states the obvious when he says:
"I think they're regretting killing me off a little bit. But it's done and it's been great. I love those people. Shonda Rhimes gave me the opportunity of a lifetime."

Here's a little Grey's Anatomy spoiler tidbit from E! Online's Q&A today. Okay, so we already knew this thanks to previous comments from Chandra Wilson, but here goes anyway:
Q: Waiting with bated breath for the Grey's Anatomy finale. Spill!
A: As Chandra Wilson said, "In [the finale], we do ultimately find out what [happens with] George (T.R. Knight) - he does make a big decision in that episode. Izzie has a lot of medical [issues] in that episode. And then we have our normal ER catastrophe that goes on. It has to be something bad going on where all the doctors have to assemble. That much I know."

What does the future hold for Owen and Cristina?
Asked if he would elaborate further on what curveball will be coming Owenstina's way on Grey's Anatomy, as he has previously teased, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello only divulged in today's new Q&A that it is not a pregnancy that the two must confront next.
So scratch that off the list, but we're basically still at square one otherwise.
Any guesses on what's next for this Grey's Anatomy couple, who provided one of the most heartbreaking scenes in recent memory at the end of last week's episode?

With all the attention paid to Derek and Meredith, what about the other Grey sister and her hot attending? Here's a little excerpt from E! Online's newest spoiler Q&A ...
Q: Are Mark and Lexie ever going to get good screen time on Grey's Anatomy? Because they have had very few scenes together ever since they actually got together.
A: Chyler Leigh, who just had her third child Friday (congratulations again!), says that yes, definitely, there will be plenty more Mark and Lexie goodness in Season Six.

With all the attention paid to whether or not Izzie will pass away tomorrow night, another major question has been more or less overlooked: Does this week's fifth season finale mark the final episode for another beloved character, Dr. George O'Malley?
Here's what TV Guide has to say in its spoiler chat ...
Q: What can you spill about the two-hour Grey's Anatomy season finale? Are we definitely saying goodbye to George and T.R. Knight?
A: Yes, there are rumors swirling that the finale not only paves the way for George's departure from Seattle Grace, but perhaps also his exit from this plane of existence as well.
I presented said scuttlebutt to Chyler Leigh (who plays Lexie), and asked if she feels she's shared the Grey's Anatomy set with Knight a final time. "Not that I know of," she said. "I'm not even sure T.R. knows [what the future holds]. I don't think anybody knows what's going to happen."
Well, nobody except Shonda Rhimes, that is.

She had a healthy baby girl last week, but Grey's Anatomy star Chyler Leigh is still ready and willing to do interviews this week in advance of Thursday's climactic finale. What a trooper!
Here's Chyler's Q&A with E! Online, from this afternoon ...
Q: Things with Meredith and Lexie seem to be going strong. Do you expect that to continue?
A: There was that kind of desperation, a puppy-dog quality, at first. Lexie has such a great family dynamic that it's like, "Of course, why wouldn't you want to be my sister?"
But for Meredith, Lexie coming in like that - it was like a record scratch. But as far as I know, the relationship between the sisters continues to get better. Lexie's been growing a lot, and I think there will be more of the mutual respect between the two of them.
Q: Is Lexie at peace with Thatcher now, following his 12-step amends-making?
A: Lexie and her dad have such a great bond anyway that the apology was a much bigger deal to Lexie than to Meredith. Meredith was more like "too little, too late." As far as Lexie goes, for Thatcher to come in and have an apology made a really big difference.
Q: How would you compare and contrast Lexie's infatuation with George earlier in the year with her feelings with for Mark Sloan now?
A: George was the first person who actually cared about her and made her feel like a person. When she first started to have feelings for him, I think they were genuine, but I think there was more of an infatuation factor, because it wasn't reciprocated. You can't have what you want sometimes, and that came into play. I think as far as Sloan, it was so out of left field, but from the get-go she never had a problem saying what she felt or what she thought to him. I think for some reason he gave her an instant confidence that she didn't necessarily have with anybody else, and it kind of caused her to be more open and be more forward. The feelings she has with Mark are definitely genuine. It's not an infatuation, and it's certainly not to further her career or advance her, because she technically doesn't need that help—she's smart, and she's got the photographic memory so she doesn't need the help as far as her career goes. Her feelings for Sloan are definitely genuine.
Q: Will there be more screen time for the Lexie-Sloan storyline next season?
A: Definitely. There definitely will be more of them next season.
Q: Is there anyone you'd like to do more scenes with whom you haven't really worked with yet?
A: I actually haven't had a lot of scenes with Cristina! I'm like, "Wait a minute, she's my resident!" But I've kind of been all over the place with everybody else. I'd definitely love to see [things with Cristina] come back around again, but I have had a lot of good scenes with Izzie and actually Callie. That's been a lot of fun.
Q: How are you feeling about being a Grey's Anatomy cast member at this point?
A: I've been doing the show two full seasons now, and it's a landmark and a breakthrough for me. Really, just to have gotten past 13 episodes was a major triumph for me in my career. I've got through a lot of pilots or a lot of nine-episode or 13-episode [jobs] and then that's it, so to be part of something this long-lived, let alone something that is as well-received and well-respected as this show, that's been very exciting for me.
Q: Last but not least, is there anything you can tease about the Season Five finale of Grey's Anatomy?
A: And as far as the finale goes, the most that I can say is that there are a lot of unexpected twists and turns that happen in this episode. It is very very powerful episode and nobody is gonna want to miss it. There is a lot of key plotlines and a lot of answered questions and then more questions raised.
