Latest Spoilers from Ausiello Well today has been a nice day of spoilers and EW's Ausiello has jumped into the mix with his latest post, which provides us with some new casting information and a new Astrix game about what makes the Oceanic 6 return to the island this season. The casting information is about a character by the name of Martha, which Ausiello (and I believe Doc Jensen) speculate is connected to the woman in Dr. Candle's recent Dharma video?? Here is his post: Question: Any new information on Lost? I know they start filming pretty soon, and you're good for the spoiler stuff, so hit us up brother. -- Joseph RobertsonAusiello: Soon? Try two days ago. Production on season 5 got underway on Monday, and among the many new characters we'll meet in the first ep will be an attractive Asian woman named Martha. She's a smart, capable scientist who's taking a break to raise her baby. Paging Doc Jensen….Doc Jensen to Ask Ausiello, STAT…. "At Comic-Con, Cuselof screened a new Dharma video featuring Dr. Marvin Candle, in which he reveals his true name (Pierre Chang) and claims he's sending a message from 30 years in the past to our present moment. During the video, we hear a baby crying, and Chang stands up at one point to tell someone off screen to shush the baby up. Could Martha be Candle/Chang's wife? And if she is, that means her name is likely "Martha Chang." Which means she shares a name with Martha Chang, producer of such kids movies as 3 Ninjas and Galgameth, the story of a boy and his dragon." Thanks, Doc! Paging two extra strength Advil…. Two extra strength Advil to Ask Ausiello, STAT…. Question: Do you know what prompts the Oceanic Five to return to the island this season on Lost? --GaryAusiello: I'm told there are a whole host of reasons, not the least of which involves * ****** ****** ******* ** ****** *****. Or so I hear. Source: EW

Mira Furlan back for Season 5
Update: 15:30 After chatting with some people it looks like this article is really discussing Season 4 and NOT season 5. Sorry to all those Mira fans, it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to find out more of her story
Update: 15:00 Thanks to Jake and Josh, it now appears there is some confusion in the article/translation in that it's unclear if they are referring to Season 4 or 5 of Lost as Lost is about to start showing Season 4 in Croatia. We'll try to find out more and keep you updated.
Thanks to DarkUFO reader Lenka for the following which seems to suggest that we'll be seeing more of Mira (aka Danielle) in Season 5 in what we can only assume are some flashbacks, hopefully involving her arrival on the Island along with her killing her team.

Latest from TV Guide In what capacity we will be seeing Desmond and his constant, Penny, next season on Lost? Any word on that? – MajaMatt: Maja, this is an excellent question. I even rewatched the season finale to confirm my own POV: "Why would we ever see Dez again?" I mean, he and Penny reconnected just before sendind the Oceanic Six on their (actually not-so-)merry way. However... I have it on good authority that Henry Ian Cusick is still a part of the cast, and that Sonya Walger is likely to resurface as well. As one setsider reminds me, "Just like when people die on Lost and you see them again, just because everyone reunited doesn’t mean you've seen the last of them." Source: TV Guide

LOST Season 5 Filming Update Source: SpoilerTV Ryan has added a couple of photos to his Flickr Photostream from Tonights filming and stunt crew. Looks like someone is about to fall from the building. ^Click the link to see the photos^ **UPDATED** Ryan just provided us with an update with more details about the filming currently occurring. As I assumed, it seems to be a scene shortly after Sayid gets Hurley out of Santa because Ryan mentions Hurley being in a robe. However, it seems like some one is going to be taking a fall from a good height as Ryan has spotted the stunt setup.

Season 5 Spoilers from French Magazine In future episodes : Numerous mysteries will be resolved in season 5. We'll learn about what going on with Claire, Rousseau and Richard Alpert's pasts will be revealed. Jin and Locke will still be around this season, according to Lost's producers: "Death is a very relative term on this show" Most of the episodes will deal about the Oceanic 6 going back on the island and the way Jack will convince them to do so. So, Kate and Sawyer will consequently be reunited once again.. We will also learn in which circumstances Libby met Hurley in a Mental Institute before the crash. Damon's part is what he said about the use of both Flashbacks and Flashforwards, and that it'll be difficult to know what's going on about when and where the action takes place in the first episode. Casting News - Michelle Rodriguez to return! Well, this should be interesting. Michelle Rodriguez, arguably one of the more polarizing personalities to have ever gotten Lost, is returning to the show this season, multiple sources confirm to me exclusively. Details of her comeback are, not surprisingly, shrouded in secrecy, but here's what I can tell you: • Rodriguez is back for one episode, most likely this season's second. As a result, the risk to Hawaii's roadways is said to be minimal. • Given that Ana Lucia's bullet-riddled body is probably entering the final stage of rigor mortis, conventional Lost wisdom (if there is such a thing) suggests she'll be appear in someone's flashback or via hallucination. The fact that Cheech Marin is also on the guest list for eppy 2, suggests that it's most likely the latter and the person seeing dead people is Hurley. There's also this theory, put forth by EW's own Doc Jensen: "Maybe Ana Lucia busted L.A.-based Ghost Hustler Miles during her pre-crash LAPD days, and now the freighter folkster is seeing visions of the late Tailie on the Island!" • Rodriguez' return follows last season's "resurrection" of fellow doomed tailie Cynthia Watros (Libby), who appeared in a vision to Michael. Could Mr. Eko next, thus completing, as Jensen jests, the Busted Tailie Storyline Redemption Tour?" But let's not get ahead of ourselves -- first we've got to process this MR news, and that means posing the following question to Lost fans: Are you looking forward to seeing Ana Lucia again, even if for just a brief stint? Or would you have preferred her remain dead and buried alongside Paolo and Nikki? Sound off below! Source: EW

Latest from Ausiello Question: I, for one, am psyched that Michelle Rodriguez is returning to Lost. But my question pertains to your scoop last week about the casting of Darlene and Jill, or Doc Jensen's theoretical analysis of your scoop. Was he suggesting what I think he was suggesting? -- DawnAusiello: I don't know what you think he was suggesting. But I think he was suggesting that that the left-behinders got tossed back in time when Ben cranked the donkey wheel, and we're about to get a glimpse of the early Dharma days! Source: EW

Episode 5x02/03 - Casting Call
Here is the latest casting call for Season 5. It is an interesting casting call as it describes the character as someone who likes to live outdoors and "off the land". Additionally it describes the character as loyal, but someone who would "comprise with the enemy".
The fact the character might be willing to sacrifice to protect his men makes me feel that he might even lose his life for his men. Of course the descriptions should not necessarily be taken literally.
Also do not forget, the other potential spoilers for these episodes about a connection to some British characters and possibly the Black Rock.
So what do you all think!? Is this new character connected to Dharma or the others on island!? A off-island character!? One of Widmore's men!?

New Set Photos for Season 5 The LOST Crew is busy setting up for a shoot later today and it seems like the filming will be for Episode 5x02. At the Hawaii Blog there are a couple of new set photos of a mansion where the crew is setting up and apparently it is near the homes that are used for Hurley's and Kate's homes. As soon as we have more information or a set report, we will post it right away. These are from Hawaii Blog and here is the caption that Ryan has posted with the pics: "LOST" set up shop at a $4 million, five-bedroom home in Kahala. It's a block from Kate's house and two blocks from Hurley's mansion, but I don't think they've used this property before. Source: SpoilerTV

Filming Update - Locke I'm not sure which episode they were filming this week but a friend of mine who works at Waimea Falls Park told me this story about the filming going on there this week. She saw Locke in a big banyan tree. He was in some type of stunt harness and was up in the tree facing the tree trunk. It looked like he was trying to climb the tree. And here's the good part...he gets shot in his upper thigh. She saw Locke's stunt double get into the harness at some point too. Nestor Carbonal was on set too but she couldn't verify that he did the shooting. Also, there was a small Cessna type crashed plane at the same set very close by. Source: HaleiwaDiva@LostTV ForumUPDATEMe and my wife watched as both Terry O'quinn and Nestor Carbonell ran from armed men. This was episode 5.03 according to the crew. Someone on set said that the scene they filmed previously was the set up to the shooting and chase and that involved Locke and Alpert running across the island to a rock formation with a square in it from a previous season. The guard said the Alpert character retrieves some sort of device on the way to the rock formation and he uses this device along with the rock formation with the hole in it to discover what year it is. Can you tell me what season this rock formation is in because we are clueless about that? Source: JD@DarkUFOSource: SpoilerTV
