Filming Update - Simon's Butcher Shop to Appear
Here is an interesting tidbit. apparently the Hoffs/Drawler Funeral home is going to be used again in Season 5, but it is setup for Simon's Butcher Shop!!
Simon's Butcher shop you ask? Well if you remember back to Charlie's dream sequence in Fire + Water he sees his father Simon as a butcher in their home.
So is it possible that this is Charlie's father's shop?? Are we going to get more of Charlie's story?? Is it a Hurley and Ghost Charlie related scene...or a random shop!?
What do you all think??

Lost Filming Updates and Photos Click the link to see the photos ^^ Just letting you know as of 12noon on Monday, they've finished filming at Simon's Butcher Shop. I have pics of the LOST crew guys tearing it all down, including the signage. Last Friday, the set was all done up with meat and sausages hanging in the windows, and now its all gone! Talk about quick filming The night ones are pre-filming (you can see the cash register, basket, and some fake meat hanging in the windows) and the day ones are post filming. I couldn't tell you if it was Bender or Williams, but something reeked of Bender on set I also added a REALLY cool shot of the LOST crew guy taking down Simon's Butcher Shop.. you can even see the crew shirt he's wearing. I just got word that they're filming in Ka'a'awa valley tomorrow. I caught site of an amazingly large outrigger canoe presumably for the Desmond/Philippines scenes SOURCE: SpoilerTV Source: AlaskaDave@Lostpedia

Filming Update Just took a Kos Hummer movie tour today. Lost is filming all week in the Ka'a'awa Valley. (Hurley's golf course, plus many other scenes filmed there.) There is a large "army camp" set, a huge new tower which looks like an oil rig only in wood - maybe a well. I saw Locke and Sawyer for sure. Others spotted Juliet and reports were Hurley was on the set which makes no sense! Source: Go Hawaii

More info on Caesar I`m a French journalist from the website "AlloCine" (the number one site about cinema and tv series in France) and this afternoon, I interviewed the French actor Saïd Taghmaoui who will play Caesar in "Lost". I have a little information : he goes to Hawaii around the 15th of October. He will appear in about 5 or 6 episodes of the season five and he will be part of the regular cast in season 6. He hasn`t read any scripts yet so there`s not much he can say about his role. Just that he is one of the key which leads to the big series finale ! He won`t play in French but in English. (A video of the interview will be available soon on our website) Source: AlloCine

Michael Emerson On Lost The finale of season four ripped several couples apart. Is the Island the love of Ben's life that he's been kept apart from? Is he sentimental like that? He sure doesn't seem to be a very sentimental character, but you're right—Ben is separated from everything he loves. He's lost what was even passing for family, so now he really is, sort of, cut loose. He is adrift. Is he a man with nothing left to lose? He has less to lose, but I think...He can afford to be a little more mobile, and possibly more ruthless now, but there is a lot to lose. The fight he's fighting, the enemy that he is withstanding is a formidable one, and so much hangs in the balance. You say withstanding, which calls to mind a siege. Would you say the Island or its protectors are under siege? On some days, there is that quality about it. [Laughs.] One of the biggest debates that came out of the finale was: "What did Ben mean when he said everyone has to go back?" Do you have any sense of what the rules are for the assertion that everyone has to go back? My sense is that those who escaped must go back. Is that a mandate from Ben or from the Island's life force, such as we understand it, which is not very well? I think it's a scientific condition of the mechanism by which the Island operates. I don't think it's an esoteric or spiritual issue, I think it's science. I think more and more, now, the show has scientific answers. In the episode "The Shape of Things to Come," Ben said Locke needed to survive the assault on the Island, and lo and behold, that seems to have been true. Does this mean that Ben and Locke are truly allies at this point? I think, yes—however unhappily—they are allies. Is it the connection to the Island that they have in common? That, and...John Locke has a condition or quality that sets him apart from all other Lostaways. John Locke is special...er. He is more special than the others. That must be fun for you and Terry O'Quinn to play. You've always said you enjoy working together. We always have, but we haven't been working together so far this season. Separated by time and space. They're in different places. Who have you been working with primarily this season—the Oceanic Six? I've been working with characters who are not on the Island. And up until this season, there's always been the concept of what the fans call "centric" episodes—the Jack-centric and Ben-centric episodes and so on. Are those a thing of the past as far as the show structure is concerned? No...but I think the cast of "centric" characters is growing. Interesting. And speaking of Ben-centric episodes, there's still a lot of missing time in his story, him versus Widmore, for example, and why they hate each other so much. Do you think we'll get to that this season, or is that something that belongs in the final year? There's material about Ben's childhood that we're missing, and I think that could be explored this season, possibly. Last question: What has surprised you in season five so far? What has surprised me? Oh, I'll tell you what has surprised me: That Ben seems to have a real plan! You'd think I would be the last one to be surprised by that, but he's doesn't miss a beat. It's kind of interesting—it's kind of breathtaking, really. Source: E!Online

Latest from Kristin At the Entertainment Weekly/Revlon pre-Emmy party in Beverly Hills, Daniel Dae Kim spilled a little tidbit about the "very bad things" that supposedly happened to the Left Behinds after the Oceanic Six were rescued: "There are definitely consequences to moving the Island. There are some that will pay a heavy price. Some people will suffer physically, some will suffer psychologically..." And at the HBO Luxury Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel, Jorge Garcia dished that when he got the first scripts for season five he was "shocked" and that Hurley has some big changes in store this season... Spoilers from Emmy's Speaking of tight sets on lock down -- like that transition? -- Jorge Garcia broke the radio silence and gave me some Lost scoop: "I've read up to script four at this point. But script one blew my mind. It's really, really crazy. It starts right where we left off. Hurley is right where Sayid picked him up in the mental institution. We see what happens to the island in that first episode and it's pretty insane. I was just like, wait a minute, what was that again? I'm still just trying to wrap my head around it." Jorge said getting the Oceanic 6 back to the island is a major theme this year, but he's more curious about how the whole power struggle between Widmore and Ben Linus is going to pan out: "There was some really cool stuff that came out in this last episode [four]. Actually, there's a great reveal in the third one too. Two was pretty fun, but there's something in the fourth that's really cool. Also, I get to wear something in episode four that I'm very excited about." As for changes to the show in season five, Jorge said it's tricky to categorize the episodes as 'anybody centric': "It's not as clear cut as it's been in the past. We don't have the moments where someone stares off into space and then we cut to something that happened in their previous life. They've gone in a slightly different direction as far as how they're telling the story and they're definitely trying to show what's going on with more people in every given episode." Evangeline Lilly, who was running around the carpet looking for her girlfriends, Elizabeth Mitchell and Yunjin Kim, agreed: "It's a whole new format. And all the original characters are revolutionized, so what you're used to watching in Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Sayid, and even Sun who's been steady since season one, is [out the window]. We're all brand new people. It's very exciting to sort of act a new character and not the same thing over and over again." Unfortunately for Michael Emerson -- who walked the carpet with wife Carrie Preston, whom you may recognize from True Blood -- he hasn't been doing much acting at all as of late: "I honestly haven't worked that much so far [in the first four episodes]. You won't see a lot of me early on [in the season]. I think they're saving up something terrible for me to do here pretty soon." On the subject of what we can expect, Michael said that while getting back to the island seems to be one of the plot lines, they're still not sure why they have to do that. But they are determined nonetheless. He also said he is surprised by the amazing amount of mobility in season five: "We're all over the place. It's a real ride now. You know, every season, Lost ramps it up a notch, they always add some new device, some new convention. And I think, as time goes by, the show gets a little more fragmented, a little more of a puzzle." Oh, perfect... Source: Zap2IT

Latest Tidbit from Kristin Petra in Yakima, Wash.: Can you tell me any more about the nature of Ben's plan on Lost? That's just what I asked Evangeline Lilly yesterday at the Emmys, and she told me, "Hmmm? Is Ben's plan's coming together? Is Ben's plan comprehensible is the question? Can anyone make sense of Benjamin Linus?" Ah, sounds like a classic Lost brainteaser! I also ran into Michael Emerson at the HBO party (he and his wife Carrie Preston are an adorable couple BTW) and asked him how Ben was going to get everyone to go along, and he said, "Oh, it's not a question of why they should go along, it's a question of do they want to survive." In the words of the great thinker Shaggy: Zoinks! Source: E! Online

Latest from Ausiello - Update on Claire "Now I'll return the favor with another one of my phenomenally successful multiple choice quizzes, this time pertaining to the fate of a certain MIA island on Lost. We will come to learn that one of the following is true in Lost's fifth season premiere. A. The Island moved forward in time. B. The Island moved backward in time. C. The Island did not move in time, but it did move in space -- to another location on the planet. D. The Island did not move in time or space -- it's still there, but Dharma tech renders it invisible to the naked eye." Source: EWHere is the latest tidbit from EW's Ausiello who followed up the spoiler about Claire not appearing in Season 5 to confirm that she will definitely be returning at some point. Ausiello spoke to LOST Producer Damon Lindelof after the Emmys who confirmed that it is all part of the "grand plan". Here you go: Question: Thanks for the interview with Emilie de Ravin, but do you know for SURE that Claire will be back for Lost's sixth and final season? I'm suspicious. -- Devon Ausiello: I was too, but then I asked executive producer Carlton Cuse and he put my mind at ease. "Claire is a wonderful part of the show and the audience can rest assured that they will see [her] again on Lost," Cuse told me Sunday night at the Governor's Ball. "It's just all part of Damon and my grand plan for how the story is going to be best told. And we don't want someone to be on the show and not be serviced well. The story that we're telling this year is going in some other directions, but we'll circle back around to include Emilie we think in a very exciting way." Source: EW

MAJOR SPOILERS: Report from the Set Source: SPOILER TV I've just received a VERY detailed set report from Kronos who has managed to type up his report from the filming he witnessed. This is very spoilerly so unless you want to know major plot points I suggest to don't read any further. I assume this is for Episode 5.03 or 5.04.READ AGAINST YOUR OWN WILL!! *** Ok, so the episode is all about Desmond, Penny, and Ben. There are no flashbacks or flashforwards, and it is very linear like a normal television episode. Desmond and Penny have been flying under the radar for awhile and they having a kid. They move around every few months and in this episode they are in a city named Mati.
I'll try and keep this in order.
Here are the scenes and the general background for this episode.
Penny and Desmond are living a wonderful life. Desmond wants to have a kid, Penny is uncertain. She doesn't want to raise a kid and live a nomadic lifestyle going from town to town running from their past.
Penny learns she is pregnant. Doctor gives her warnings, Desmond's sperm showed abnormalities that she could not comprehend. Scenes were filmed at a local dentists office.
Ben is hot on their trail.
Desmond buys a gun from a street dealer.
Ben and Desmond play cat and mouse in several scenes. Desmond saves Penny. Ben is angry, and lost in the world.
Ben travels to North Africa.
Brace yourself for a big spoiler
There are a handful of Dharma stations located throughout the world. They are not just on the island.
One of the stations is located in the mountains somewhere in North Africa. Ben tracks Widmore's security chief to this station. Ben tortures the man for a very long time, the man finally reveals Penny's location which is Mati.
Ben finds Penny and Desmond in Mati. Ben knocks out a cook at a crappy oceanfront restaurant. Ben poisons Penny's food.
Ben sees that Penny is pregnant. He had no idea. Ben stops the waiter from delivering the food. His quest for vengeance is apparently over for now.
Penny and Desmond are docked at the Mati harbor. Penny is having extreme pain. Desmond rushes to a nearbye village to get a doctor.
Desmond and the Doctor rush back to the boat. Desmond sees Ben on his knees crying in an alley.
Desmond and the village doctor head inside the boat. Penny is in grave condition. The doctor is clueless as to why. Penny delivers the kid, and the doctor tells Desmond to take the boat to a near-bye coastal village.
We watched as the actor playing Desmond runs from the village and he's having some sort of crazy body spasms and it was hilarious to watch this actor do this over, and over, and over. Can't explain the whole body spasms part, you have any ideas?
I think I might have made a mistake about saying it's a linear episode. I think after the Ukoa pond scenes, something happens to Desmond and he starts bending time again or traveling back in time.
