He was quite busy this morning! This is where he names his band members. Boston---------- 107,5 The River Nashville interview from this morning. --------- Found this on dot org board!! Disney World I'm listening live to DC interview on my local top 40 station (WXXL 106.7 in Orlando) -- he's talking about the record. One of the last tracks they recorded features just his vocals, strings, and piano. The project mixes "heavy" and "delicate." Was asked about his relationship with KC and he mentioned the media's focus on his personal life as "absurd." When pressed, he finally responded, "Kimberly and I are actually still seeing each other." Shooting a video for "Light On" at end of this week. In Orlando at beginning of December to promote the new Idol attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios! They debuted his new single (FINALLY)!!!! Yeaaaa!!!! You can listen to it here.

yeah.........
well not like this matters but there is a casting call for David's Light on music video that he said in a recent interview, will be working on in a day or two.
"There are casting calls listed in some of the trade magazines here in Hollywood today for David's video. When Isham directs, his projects make the trades! This is just as good a piece of news as when we found out Cavallo was producing the album. I have to find more about the casting calls, but the shoots are overnight for a couple of days this week. Guess it needs to be really dark so you can see the "Light On!" It's described as "American Graffiti meets Dazed and Confused."

David Cook puts the finishing touches on his upcoming album EW article. David Cook has been pretty quiet since the American Idol tour wrapped Sept. 13, but with his debut due on Nov. 18, the season 7 champ is preparing for another nonstop ride. Mastering on his self-titled album was completed in New York earlier this week, with Cook personally overseeing the finishing touches on 12 tracks, 11 of which he wrote or cowrote. Other songwriters who made the cut: Goo Goo Dolls' Johnny Rzeznik, Our Lady Peace singer Raine Maida (who's credited on four songs), Cathy Dennis (of Britney Spears "Toxic" fame), and, of course, Chris Cornell, who wrote the single "Light On." As of Oct. 21, fans who pre-order the full album on iTunes can download the single instantly and will also get an as-yet-undetermined exclusive bonus track. As for the Idol-winning song, "The Time of My Life," which Cook told EW.com might not make the record, it had yet to be included on the album's official track listing, as of press time. What's next on Cook's schedule? A video for “Light On,” directed by Wayne Isham (Bon Jovi, Britney Spears), which he'll shoot in Los Angeles on Thursday and Friday, and lots of TV appearances next month, among them: The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Live With Regis and Kelly, and Good Morning America. It's a good thing Cook's firmed up his backing band, which, in the ultimate gesture of hometown pride, includes two members of the Tulsa outfit he used to play with, Midwest Kings. Full track listing after the jump... 1. Declaration 2. Heroes 3. Light On 4. Come Back to Me 5. Life on the Moon 6. Bar-ba-sol 7. Mr. Sensitive 8. Lie 9. I Did It for You 10. Avalanche 11. Permanent 12. A Daily AntheM* * Of course we asked if the last letter in "A Daily Anthem" was capitalized on purpose, and were told by 19 Entertainment that it was, per Cook's wishes. Check back with EW.com for an explanation from the man himself.

Who is your Entertainer of the Year? The hallways of EW HQ are abuzz -- yes, abuzz! -- as we hunker down and enter the serious planning stages of our annual Entertainer of the Year issue. (Last year's winner, J.K. Rowling has added the title of Tea Party Hostess to her resume since wrapping up the little matter of her Harry Potter franchise.) And naturally, we want to get your input about which singers, actors, writers, directors, circus performers, and other assorted pop-culture standouts rocked your world in 2008. For me, the first half of the entertainment year was defined by the David Cook-David Archuleta showdown on American Idol. Even thought my heart belonged to Carly Smithson and Jason Castro, it was the two Davids who gave us an epic, fan-mobilizing, household-dividing battle on par with Federer vs. Nadal, Coke vs. Pepsi, even chocolate vs. vanilla. And despite a million and one roadblocks from the show's producers, the scruffy Midwestern rocker and the puppy-eyed teenage belter managed to make Idol's seventh season a wildly addictive, and ultimately satisfying, viewing experience. Surely, though, you guys have other ideas about who belongs on EW's list of pop-culture MVPs for 2008 in addition to or (gasp) instead of Mr. Cook and Mr. Archuleta. We're planning to mine the message boards for this PopWatch item to create an Entertainers of the Year gallery and bracket game, the results of which will appear in the pages of EW's Entertainer of the Year issue in November. So don't delay: Give us your nomination(s) for Entertainer of the Year below. We're abuzz -- yes, abuzz! -- as we await your picks! Let's vote for Cookie!!! popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2008/10/entertainer-yea.html
