David Cook to flip the switch on Plaza lights Cook will be the honored guest flipping the switch at the 79th annual Plaza Lighting Ceremony. His role will be strictly that — no performance. SourceAn interesting twist: His mom, Beth Foraker, works for KCP&L, the ceremony’s longtime sponsor. The ceremony will be broadcast live by KCTV-5.

haha omg we actually crashed davidcookofficial! lmao awww he's so cute! he loved that! This is from the LATimes ------------- This morning, Boing Boing got hold of an e-mail from Wal-Mart that said the company was no longer going to support files with digital rights management (DRM), meaning any DRM-encoded files purchased from the Wal-Mart digital store would no longer be supported by the company. According to the e-mail obtained by Boing Boing, Wal-Mart states that it had been offering DRM-free music since February of this year. Any recent purchases are thereby safe ( David Cook fans just let out a sigh of relief).--------- so basically they're saying older walmart mp3 purchases may not be downloadable any more, but recent ones are... I think. And then getting to the meat of the story - of all the walmart music downloads, they wanted to make sure the WORD NERDS knew our purchases were safe and not bombard them with messages. and we're guessing that the LATimes got quite a bit of mail regarding the "Light On" review!

I'm kinda confused sorry, so walmart had some trouble with mp3 downloads, but wanted to make sure that David's fans knew their purchases were safe, so that they don't go and crashed their mail with messages?? If that's so LMAO That is cool! And what LATimes review?? I don't think i've read it

OMG That's an awful review. I don't know much of music really, but to me Cook's song was great! Touching lyrics, and his voice was just perfect to transmit the message, he sang with his heart and i have no doubt that he will be even more successful than now.
Everyone has the right to an opinion so...whatever! to what the LAtime guy wrote.

David Cook at his band will be performing at his pal, NY MET'S player DAVID WRIGHT'S FOUNDATION GALA FOR CHARITY 11/12 NYC Hard Rock Cafe More info on www.davidwrightfoundation.cominfo courtesy of NYCforCook apparently tickets went on sale this aftenoon for 165 bucks a ticket, which is a bargain considering what other benefits have been in the past from David Wright. * I would love to go to NY*
