I'll have to check youtube for it,, it was a yahoo interview. Interview try this, cant find youtube one yet. -- Cherry Lane Music Publishing Co. has signed a worldwide, long-term publishing agreement with 2008 “American Idol” winner and songwriter David Cook. As part of the deal, Cherry Lane will be administering Cook’s current catalog and will hold co-publishing rights in any new writing opportunities that are set up through Cherry Lane. “Everyone knows David Cook the American Idol winner,” Cherry Lane senior VP of creative services and marketing Richard Stumpf said in a statement. But after early discussions with Cook, “I was most impressed with David Cook the gifted songwriter,” said Stumpf. The deal was negotiated by Stumpf, Cherry Lane VP of business & legal affairs Keith Hauprich, and Iain Pirie at 19 Entertainment and Howard Siegel at Pryor Cashman LLP.

DCook to perform prior to 2009 Home Run Derby
On Monday, July 13, rock singer/songwriter and 2008 America Idol season winner David Cook will perform two songs with his band prior to the start of the State Farm® Home Run Derby at Busch Stadium. Prior to Cook's performance, Nikko Smith -- singer/songwriter and 2005 American Idol finalist, and son of St. Louis Cardinals legend Ozzie Smith -- will perform the U.S. National Anthem. Smith performed the U.S. National Anthem prior to Game 4 of the 2006 World Series at Busch Stadium. The State Farm® Home Run Derby will be televised live on ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Millions of people around the country fell in love with rock belter David Cook while watching him make other people's songs his own week after week on the seventh season of American Idol. Cook won the competition handily thanks to viewers connecting with his rich, unfettered voice and passionately intense performances, not to mention his down-to-earth Midwestern charm. David Cook has since made a name for himself in this industry. He has been on tour since the beginning of the year, performing the songs on his self-titled debut album. Gutsy and epic, but grounded in the personal, the songs are tailor-made for those magical moments when music, whether it be uplifting or heart-breaking, can transport you to another place - which is exactly the experience that Cook hopes to give his fans each night when he takes the stage. David Cook's "Declaration Tour" continues to hit various venues around the country through October of this year.
