Latest from AusielloQuestion: As an avid Chuck fan, I have to ask: Where the heck is Anna? We haven't seen her in weeks, and there was only a passing mention that she was at her parents' for Thanksgiving. Is Julia Ling okay? The Buy More plots aren't the same without her. -- Katie Ausiello: Fear not, Ling remains a part of the cast, albeit not as big a part as, say, Zach Levi. Like many of Chuck's supporting players, her contract isn't for all shows produced (or ASP). The good news: She's back in a huge way next week. Question: Chuck question: Is the Dark Intersect from "Chuck vs The Suburbs" (episode 14) going to form the basis for a Feb/March sweeps trilogy? And how will the Dark Intersect affect Chuck? -- Lou Ausiello: I'm going to throw this one to Josh Schwartz. "The Dark Intersect is the first sign that the bad guys (read: FULCRUM) are figuring out that if they can't find the Intersect, why not rebuild it -- which makes Chuck even more valuable. And yes, it is a trilogy." Source: EW - Other show spoilers at the link.

Latest from KristinAllie in Ashburn, W.Va.: What's happening on Chuck? I love me some Morgan!Anyone interested in seeing the little, bearded man in the buff? Good, glad I'm not alone! Joshua Gomez (Morgan) just gave me some scoop on the upcoming Sports Illustrated swimsuit model episode. "There is a scene where I had to be disrobed, and that's a tough act to follow. I mean, they're very pretty, but me naked is a whole other world of pain!" Hot stuff! It also looks like Morgan is going to be dragging his feet when Anna decides she wants to move in together. Lastest from Kirstin
Marcy in Indianapolis: Kristin, I'm dying for some couples scoop on Chuck! Unfortunately when I talked to Zach Levi this weekend at AMC Theaters' booth at the Access Hollywood Gift Lounge, he did not give me much hope for a future with Chuck and Sarah. "Chuck and Sarah are one step forward, two steps back. We still love each other. I want to be with her, and she secretly wants to be with me—I think—but it just makes for a not very protected Chuck because emotions get in the way. So it's on the backburner." Sigh. I want it in the deep fryer! (Did that sound dirty?) On the upside, though, I'm told the Ellie and Awesome wedding is still in the works and planned for sometime during May sweeps.

Chuck - Robert Picardo Info TVGuide.com: What's next for you? Picardo: I have an upcoming episode of Pushing Daisies (three episodes remain, with no air date set), where I play a crusty police detective who works with Chi McBride's (Emerson) private investigator. And on Chuck — it's very interesting. They're doing a very big story arc about who created the "Intersect," which is this special super-computer system (stored in Chuck's brain), and I think I'm not speaking out of turn when I say I figure heavily into that story. There are lots of cool surprises and twists coming up. Source: TV Guide

Chuck - Casting News Major casting news just in from TV's best comedy: Scott Bakula is Chuck's dad! Chuck boss Josh Schwartz confirms to me exclusively that Bakula has inked a deal to play the estranged father of Zachary Levi's title character in at least three episodes. "Chuck made a promise to his sister, Ellie [Sarah Lancaster], that he was going to find their dad in time for her wedding," Schwartz explains. "And it's something that Chuck becomes consumed with pursuing during the second half of the season. "But when he finds him, he's not necessarily a guy who wants to be found," Schwartz continues. "He's living in a trailer, he's disheveled, he's paranoid and he's claiming constantly that Ted Roark [Chevy Chase] -- who he used to work with -- stole all his ideas from him. And Ted Roark has now become this super-successful software billionaire, and Chuck's dad has become an eccentric, living in the shadows." Look for Bakula's arc to kick off in April. Source: EW

Latest from Ausiello Question: Nice to see you choose Chuck as your favorite comedy of 2008. Any scoops on upcoming episodes? -- KelseyAusiello: Exec producer Josh Schwartz is hesitant to use the words "game changing" to describe this season's final batch of episodes -- even though it's wholly appropriate. "Everyone uses that term," he harrumphs. "Let's call it show changing. Or Chuck changing...Let's just say someone is going to start figuring out the truth in Chuck's world." Schwartz adds that he's cramming "three seasons worth of stories into the next 10 episodes," in part because there's no guarantee the show will see a third season. (Note to NBC: The forecast calls for a s--tstorm in the event Chuck is axed.) "We're leaving nothing on the table," he says. "We're taking nothing for granted. We're going for it." To wit, did you see who they got to play Chuck's dad?! Question: Anything new on Chuck? -- LauraAusiello: This just in: Jordana Brewster's returning as Chuck's ex Jill in the season finale! Latest from Kristin Cecily in Portland, Ore.: Since Sarah killed a man in front of Chuck, will the pair be OK when the show returns?Chuck chief Josh Schwartz tells me Chuck still doesn't know Sarah was actually saving his life, adding, "That's a dynamic that obviously is going to be complicated." Morgangirl in Rhode Island: Chuck scoop!Josh Schwartz tells me, "There's a very sexy MI6 agent who comes in to help on a mission for a couple of episodes, played by Jonathan Cake. He's a real sort of badass Gerard Butler-type who definitely catches Sarah's eye. There are a couple things that are going to happen towards the end of this season that are sort of a point of no return for Sarah and Chuck. It could be a point of no return in a good way or point of no return in a bad way, you'll have to stay tuned. Source: E!Online - Various Shows

Chuck - More on Scott Bakula and Chevy Chase You already know that Scott Bakula will be playing Zachary Levi's dad on Chuck later this season. But now, thanks to the NBC publicity machine, we know a little bit more about what he'll be doing on the show. Earlier in the season, Chuck (Levi) promised his sister, Ellie (Sarah Lancaster), that he'd find their estranged dad before her wedding to Captain Awesome (Ryan McPartlin). He'll accomplish that task later this season, but when he does track his father down, he's not quite prepared for what he finds. The elder Bartowski (Bakula), Chuck discovers, is a paranoid mess of a man who lives in a trailer who claims that software magnate Ted Roark has stolen all his ideas. Roark will be played by Chevy Chase, who signed on for a three-episode arc earlier this month. Chuck has long looked up to Roark -- and has few lingering feelings for his absent dad -- but presumably the discovery that Roark and his dad used to work together will cause Chuck to rethink things. Bakula got the job, Chuck co-creator Josh Schwartz says, because he and fellow creator Chris Fedak are "huge Quantum Leap fans" and see the same ability to handle comedy, drama and action in him that they see in Levi. NBC doesn't have exact airdates for Bakula's arc yet, but you can expect the episodes to air sometime in the spring. Source: zap2it

Chuck - Creators tease "Game-Changing" Finale As if their recent all-3-D episode wasn't exciting enough, Chuck creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak hinted at big twists in the show's finale and next season. Schwartz said the end of the season would be "game changing" for Chuck and his crew. "We're going to launch the show in a really exciting direction next year. We designed our season heading toward it," said Schwartz. Though Schwartz and Fedak wouldn't spill any further details, they did reveal that Chuck's ex-flame, played by Jordana Brewster, is filming a new episode. With Chuck's old flame returning, TVGuide.com asked resident hottie Yvonne Strahovski if her character, Sarah, would also get a new romance. "Actually, Sarah gets something... something... some candy soon," Strahovski hinted. What do you think Chuck's new direction will be next year? Source: TVGuide

Latest from Kristin Mario in Riverside, Calif: Chuck please! According to cocreator Chris Fedak: "In upcoming episodes, we'll see what Fulcrum thinks is going on at the Best Buy, not necessarily that the Intersect is there or that Chuck is it. Arnold Vosloo plays a super-badass Fulcrum agent. We'll get to see the inside of Fulcrum's headquarters, and it's like Tron." Sweet. Source: E!Online - Various Shows
