Episode Description: When Casey attempts to securely ship the “Cipher”, he is thwarted by a villain named Colt. One of Colt’s henchmen gases Casey, leaving him writhing in agony, apparently in the throes of death. Upon returning to Colt with the Cipher, it is revealed that Chuck and Sarah are the next targets.

Title: Chuck Versus the Seduction

Episode Description: Chuck goes undercover as Mr. Carmichael to steal the Cipher by seducing a woman named Sasha with offers of…club soda? Although Chuck does obtain the Cipher, Sasha and her thugs capture Sarah and Casey to hold hostage. Sarah is sure Chuck will focus on the Cipher, the key to his freedom; Casey is sure Chuck is a “dumb bastard who is in love with [Sarah]“. Sure enough, Chuck enlists the help of his new mentor, former spy Roan Montgomery, but Montgomery’s defeatist attitude does not inspire Chuck. Calling his own shots, Chuck sets up a hostage exchange at the Buy More, of which Lester is now assistant manager.
Meanwhile, Captain Awesome creates the “perfect” night for Ellie.

Title: Chuck Versus the Breakup
Air Date: 10/13/2008
Episode Description: Lester uses his new upper management skills to delegate an unpleasant task to Morgan - getting the SportsJock bullies to quit using the home theater room as their personal frat house. If only the lead SportsJock hasn’t dissed Anna, it all would have gone differently…
Meanwhile, Chuck finds himself working with Casey, Sarah, and…Bryce? The erstwhile agent is back, still mixed up with Fulcrum, and needing Team Bartowski’s help. Fulcrum wants a decrypted microchip from a man named Von Hayes, but Bryce wants to get it first. He and Sarah go undercover at a lavish party thrown by Von Hayes, causing a jealous Chuck to risk losing his cover as a waiter at the same party. When Sarah finds herself out of commission, Chuck manages to broker a deal with Von Hayes for the microchip. Spying is stressful, though, and things don’t go quite according to plan.

Title: Chuck Versus the Cougars

Episode Description: Heather, a high school classmate of Sarah’s happens to show up at The Orange Orange, Sarah’s new cover job, and reveals Sarah’s real name, while Chuck is watching. Stunned that he finally knows her real name, Chuck has a little fun with “Sarah” by almost…but not quite blowing her cover. Chuck manages to get a little more background information on “Sarah”, until he meets Heather’s husband and he flashes on far more dangerous background information. The unassuming “nerd” who was also a classmate of Sarah’s is more than he seems.
Sarah, Casey and Chuck have to go undercover at Sarah’s high school reunion to foil the sale of high-tech bomb plans to villainous Russians. Somehow Chuck manages to look like a hero while Casey fumes, and Sarah confronts demons from her past. Ah, high school.
Meanwhile, back at the Buy More, Lester instructs the employees in the art of “Friendly Negotiations” with customers. The results aren’t quite what corporate had in mind.

Title: Chuck Versus Tom Sawyer

Episode Description: We flashback to 1983, when a much younger Jeff has just won the Moto Industries video game championship with his skill at Missile Command. Sporting a mullet and a mustache, our man Jeff has a pair of bikini-clad babes in his arms and a reporter asking him what’s next.
Back to present day, a crippling virus is sweeping through the Moto Industries computers. Chuck and Casey attempt to go in undercover as Nerd Herders (!) to find out what’s going on, but are rebuffed by the Moto Industries engineers. Sarah tries her hand at it instead. Somehow a gorgeous blonde who doesn’t know how to fix computers manages to gain access. They discover that terrorists have hijacked a dormant satellite and are planning to activate it and launch missiles starting a nuclear war. The code to deactive the satellite can be found on the final level of…Missile Command. Now Chuck must find a way to beat the game before the worst happens, but there’s a final secret weapon that he’ll need to succeed: music from a certain Canadian band.

Title: Chuck Versus the Ex

Episode Description: We flashback to 2003, and a new member of the Buy More team who has just spent his “break” from work driving down to Stanford to tell his girlfriend he still loves her. But Jill tells Chuck it’s over; she’s dating Bryce Larkin now.
Back in 2008, Chuck gets called in to help set up computers for a conference when who should arrive? Dr. Jill Roberts, the ex-girlfriend turned scientist. Just as she’s about to tell Chuck what he’s wanted to hear for 5 years, Jill’s boss shows up and whisks her away, but not before Chuck flashes on him in connection with bioweapons. Now Team Bartowski has to figure out what’s about to happen and stop a convention full of brilliant scientists from being the next test subjects for a virus. While Chuck plays the suave spy to get information from Jill, Sarah goes undercover as an Australian scientist and Casey tries to keep the plan together.

Episode Description: Emmett busts Morgan for using the Buy More’s home theater room after hours to “fraternize” with fellow employees.
Team Bartowski successfully completes a mission to steal a list of Fulcrum’s double agents within the NSA, but Fulcrum wants it destroyed before Casey or anyone else at the agency get their hands on it. A Fulcrum agent, Winterbourne, takes Jill hostage at the Museum of Natural History to get the list back from Chuck, resulting in some prehistoric damage.

Title: Chuck Versus the Gravitron

Episode Description: There is a security problem at the Buy More and Big Mike leaves Morgan, Jeff and Lester to keep an eye out. Unfortunately, Morgan presents the other Nerd Herders with dinner plans involving actual real people so they leave the store unattended. Cut to Big Mike getting a phone call from the security company…
Meanwhile, Chuck, Sarah and Casey end up at a carnival up against Fulcrum agents once more. When Jill warns Chuck about yet another threat, he isn’t sure who to trust. It would seem Morgan and Ellie are on Team Sarah, but will Jill prove too difficult for Chuck to resist?
Contender for greatest line in season 2: “Unleash the Casey.”

Title: Chuck Versus the Sensei

Episode Description: As Ellie and Awesome’s wedding approaches, we finally meet Awesome’s parents - Woody and Honey Woodcomb. They’re both doctors and just as fit and athletic and awesome as, well, Awesome. Honey is over the moon about the wedding and wants to help Ellie plan it much to her…delight? After all, who wouldn’t want to register for wedding gifts at the Buy More and call their in-laws “Mom” and “Dad”?
Meanwhile, Casey’s former sensei, now gone rogue, is involved with a weapons theft and Team Bartowski has to stop him using Casey’s personal knowledge of the man. If Casey had feelings, he’d be furious over the man’s treachery. If he had feelings, he be unleashing hell on his former mentor.

Title: Chuck Versus the DeLorean

Episode Description: We flash back to Baltimore, 1992, and watch a father and daughter pull a con. Who is the pretty blonde girl on the bike?
Back in the present, Sarah is feeling bored with her cover job at The Orange Orange. Not much going on in the spy world right now. But things start to get interesting when her father, Jack Henry, shows up. Unaware of his daughter’s real job, Jack Henry thinks she’s pulling a con on Chuck and wants in on the scheme. When the opportunity arises to swindle a Sheik out of some major cash, Chuck, Sarah and Casey partner with Jack Henry on the deal. Chuck displays a previously unknown talent, but when things go awry and Jack Henry is taken hostage, Sarah faces a difficult choice.
Meanwhile, Jeff, Lester and Morgan encounter the hottest piece to ever come into the Buy More - a vintage 1981 deLorean. The owner wants to sell but the guys are aghast that he’d want to get rid of such a “treasure.”

Title: Chuck Versus Santa Claus
Air Date: 12/15/2008
Episode Description: This is the Christmas episode and of course it’s not going to be a time of good cheer for our friends. It’s Christmas Eve and a gunman is holding the Buy More employees - plus Sarah, Ellie and Awesome - hostage. Casey is injured and reluctantly allows himself to be one of the first hostages traded by Ned, the gunman, who just wants to go home to his family. Awesome draws on his football background to come up with a play to take out Ned, but Chuck knows how dangerous a scared man with a gun can be and begs Awesome not to be awesome.
As the negotiations continue, however, Chuck suddenly realizes that all is not what it seems. Someone here is Fulcrum, and they’ve figured out that something - or someone - in the Buy More is under government protection. Now Chuck has to decide whether to risk the lives of his friends and loved ones to keep the Intersect secure, or give Fulcrum what they want.
Meanwhile, Morgan needs to make a bold statement to win back Anna’s affections and Chuck gives Sarah a very special gift which makes her see just how much he cares about her.

Title: Chuck Versus the Third Dimension

Episode Description: Chuck (Zachary Levi) foils a plan to kill international rock star Tyler Martin (guest star Dominic Monaghan) leading Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) to kidnap the musician to find out who wants him dead. When Chuck is left unattended with Tyler, the party animal rocker convinces Chuck to go out on the town, which only ends in a night of trouble. Meanwhile, Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence) enlists Morgan (Josh Gomez) to look out for his old football buddy Jimmy (guest star Jerome Bettis) who was just released from jail and hired at the Buy More. In the midst of Morgan’s newly assigned duties, he wins a pair of backstage passes to Tyler’s show and holds a contest in true Super Bowl fashion that pits Jeff (Scott Krinsky) against the formidable ex-con Jimmy.
This is the 3-D episode teased by Josh Schwartz as a story in which Chuck must protect a rock star (guest star Dominic Monaghan).

Episode Description: Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah’s (Yvonne Strahovski) latest assignment forces them to pose as a happily married couple living in the suburbs. They meet some interesting characters including Brad (guest star Andy Richter), a cheerful next-door neighbor in the stationary business, and Sylvia (guest star Jenny McCarthy), a seductive and attractive woman who lives across the street and has her eye on Chuck. Meanwhile, Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence) is on a work rampage after his wife files for divorce, so the Buy More gang sets him up on a dating website to keep him distracted.

Episode Description: We flash back to 1992 and 12-year-old Morgan is running from a bully. A female bully. She takes him down and is prepared to get even with him for spying on her when 12-year-old Chuck appears. Adorable and heroic, even in middle school Chuck has Morgan’s back. Young Morgan laments his girlfriend-less state to young Chuck, but his friend predicts that one day they’ll have girlfriends. Morgan suspects growing a beard will land the ladies…
Flash to the present day and Morgan is again lamenting his girlfriend-less status, this time pining over Anna. Unfortunately for Anna, her new boyfriend, Jason, is mixed up with the Triad, a gang of Chinese bad guys. Chuck ends up undercover with Sarah at Jason’s car showroom, along with Anna, trying to figure out Jason’s connection to the Triad. Morgan, still 12 years old in some ways, is caught by the Triad when he tags along to spy on Anna. In order to save Morgan’s life, Chuck convinces the Triad that Morgan isn’t a spy…he’s a loser stalking Anna. A devastated Morgan, not knowing how close he came to death, feels betrayed by his best friend. Chuck doesn’t have time to fix it, though, because the Triad is targeting an Ambassador and Team Chuck has to save the day!
Meanwhile, Jeff and Lester’s friendship undergoes a strain as well.

Morgan (Joshua Gomez) deals with his mother’s relationship with Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence) by crashing at Chuck’s apartment much to Ellie and Awesome’s chagrin. Meanwhile, Jeff (Scott Krinsky) and Lester (Vik Sahay) talk their way into hiring the new Buy More employee but decide to search for the “Buy More Babe.”
