This was one of my favorite Dom interviews yet. He seems so happy to be with his family, and his younger brother is cashing in on the PB haircut I see.

Dom is really laying low lately. It's like he toured around doing interviews, while Went had a little vacation, and now they've switched and Dom is nowhere to be seen.

Exclusive Video Interview: Dominic Purcell, from 'Prison Break'Friday, August 22, 2008 Prison Break is an anomaly. No one, not the cast members, not FOX, not the writers, expected the series to make it to a fourth season. Hell, I bet there weren't too many people who thought a second season was possible. Prison Break has changed drastically from season to season, almost completely out of necessity. Each new season brings a whole new story structure. Even though Prison Break has been on for three seasons, it has felt like three entirely different series. Dominic Purcell, as Lincoln Burrows, has been a huge part of the show's success. At the outset of season 4, he finds himself in Panama. We recently got the chance to sit down with Dominic at the FOX Fall press junket to pick his brain about Prison Break, and what we can expect from season 4. Below you will find the full video of our interview with Dominic. MINOR SPOILERS BELOW!!! IF YOU WANT PRISON BREAK'S SEASON PREMIERE TO BE A COMPLETE SURPRISE, GO NO FURTHER!!!CLICK HEREOR I'll tell you what: Dominic is a big dude. An intimidating dude. Very nice, and cordial, and open, but also big. The FOX press junket occurred at a hotel in Hollywood at the beginning of August. It was a very busy couple of days, and we'll be publishing numerous interviews over the next few weeks. We hope you enjoy them. As for Dominic, it's very clear that he's happy to be back and filming in Los Angeles, where he can be close to his family, as opposed to being off on location for months at a time. Having gotten the chance to see the season premiere, I can tell you that Prison Break fans will not be disappointed. Prison Break's fourth season will premiere on Monday, September 1 at 8pm with a special two-hour premiere.

Dominic Purcell on Prison BreakPublished August 26, 2008 in Television By Fred Topel
Dominic Purcell is Lincoln BurrowsEvery season of Prison Break reinvents the show. Season two took the prisoners on the run for a whole year, then back to a different prison for season three. This year is yet another new vision of Prison Break for brothers Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burroughs (Dominic Purcell).
Dominic Purcell Talks Prison Break's New Vision "If you've seen that movie Ronin, it's kind of like that," said Purcell. "We're being forced by the government to work for them, and if we don't work for them, they're going to send us to jail, back to prison. They promised the troupe, the gang, that if we get the stuff done, we'll be given our freedom, so depending on how long they want the show to last, we won't be having our freedom for a very long time."
These new government missions keep Lincoln in action, but Purcell is hoping for more emotional moments. "At some point, I'd like to see a bit more exploration between him and his brother. I'd like to see that and at some point, him get involved romantically. Even though he is involved romantically, it would just be nice to see more of Lincoln's sensitive kind of side. Right now he's pretty much a bull at the gate. "
Lincoln is still seeing Sophia from Panama, but Prison Break is not a lovey dovey show. "We have very little opportunity to explore that. I wish, but I don't think there's enough time for Lincoln at least. I mean, there doesn't seem enough time for romance for any one of the guys to be perfectly honest. We're always doing something, always running. It's a very high paced action genre kind of vibe."
The boys have returned to America, specifically Los Angeles. Setting and shooting the show in L.A. gives Prison Break new areas for action.
"It's got a desert, it's got the sea, it's got the beach, it's got downtown that can pass for any scene in the world, and I think LA brings a cool vibe to the show. It's a good thing. It's a good thing for the show."
Too bad Lincoln won't have time to see the sights. "Look, Linc's the spark of the show and he's just a fighter. He's the guy that brings the grunt, that male testosterone element to the show. Linc's going to do what he keeps doing. He's a angry dude, and he's just trying to get back to his kid and trying to just start a new relationship with Sophia, so he's tired of this bullsh*t that people keep drawing him back to."
Prison Break returns Sept. 1 on FOX.

New Dom interview As per tradition, the season premiere of PRISON BREAK truly relaunches the show in an entirely different direction. Giving it a very OCEANS 11, A-TEAM kind of vibe. Dominic Purcell: I agree, that’s the way it kind of feels. Are you a fan of the way in which the show is constantly re-inventing itself?Well we’ve got to come up with ways to keep this thing going you know. And it’s not necessarily us the actors or the writers. It’s the suits. They love the show and they want us to keep it going. For me there’s a bit of trepidation though. I’m constantly thinking, is the audience going to get into it this year? But the writers are really passionate about making the show work, constantly coming up with these crazy ideas. Crazy ideas like Sara’s re-heading! What are your thoughts on her return?I don’t know. I’ve never really dealt with what the fans think of the show. I’m one of these guys who come to work, loves what I do and checks it at the door. For me it’s a job, a good job. But I know that a lot of people supposedly loved the relationship between Michael and Sara which is great. What’s in store for Linc this season?Dude, more of the same. Linc is the anchor of the show, he’s the solid muscle that keeps everyone in line. He’s the enforcer and Michael’s the genius. It’s a yin and yang thing. That’s not to say I wouldn’t love to see a lot more character development with Linc. But you have to remember, you’re dealing with the big picture here. Economics and what sells, and what sells thus far has been all these men on the run. Is the studio prepared to change that dynamic? Do they want to make a show like THE SOPRANOS and delve more into characters, I don’t know. I’d say considering the fan reaction across the world, probably not. The show is hugely popular around the world. PRISON BREAK is one of the most successful shows in the world. It freaks me out and I don’t understand it. Have you heard your voice dubbed in different languages?I heard it briefly in French once. It’s weird, it doesn’t sound like me. Even the resonance doesn’t sound like me. What is it like shooting back in Los Angeles this season?I’m stoked to be back in LA. I’ve got my kids here so it’s always great to be back at work close to them. I mean between Chicago and Dallas. I’ve been basically on the road for the last three years. Do you miss the relative anonymity of shooting on location?Yeah it’s interesting, being in Chicago and Dallas we were left alone. We get here [LA] and the Paps are everywhere. I hate the Paparazzi. They just annoy me endlessly, but it’s just the way it is these days. You’ve got to be watchful and I hate having to be watchful. Is the price of fame is too high?Oh yeah, it’s weird. I’m not newsworthy, but I was shooting in LA, I drive home, get out of my car and all these Paparazzi have followed me all the way to Santa Monica. I just gave them the bird and stuff but I ended up online and my kids saw what Dad was going. So it’s really made me think hat I can’t carry on like that. I just have to pretend they’re not there. Are your kids old enough to watch the show? Not really, they’ve seen bits and pieces of it. My eldest is eight, so he’s kind of used to the violence on TV now. But he knows it’s bullsh*t! You can catch Dominic Purcell on a brand new episode of PRISON BREAK tonight on FOX following TERMINATOR THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. source:http://thetvaddict.com/2008/09/15/exclusive-interview-prison-break-star-dominic-purcell/#more-4149Thanks to ina_s at excomm
