It never occured to me when I made the X-files board that we'd ever need a spoiler thread, but I'm happy to say here it is. Please post any spoilers associated with the upcoming movie here. Only spoilers on this thread! This spoiler thread will be a little different than the other spoiler threads on TVMediaNation, because it really has to be since it's a movie we're talking about and it can't be organized by episode. The newest stuff will always be at the top. When a new spoiler is posted, the date it was posted will be in bold red (like this 3/25). After the piece of info has been on the board for about 2 weeks, and its still fresh news, but not brand spanking new, the date will become bold beige (like this 3/25), and after another 2 weeks it will not be listed at the top anymore, but the information will still exist below, where it was originally posted. This movie is out on July 25th, so now is the time to have fun with X-files spoilers, because we may never get another chance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4/23 Rapper Xzibit is in the movie, and here are some stills of him. 4/17 Another new still. 4/17 The movie has finally gotten a title. It's going to be called X-files: I Want to Believe. 4/11 New movie stills! 4/3 Here are some interviews with the creators of the X-files, as well as Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny from the Wondercon convention. 4/2 The shroud that concealed much of the plot details of the new X-Files movie sequel has now been pulled back – or at least lifted a bit. Chris Carter, the creator of the hit TV show which ran from 1993 to 2002, revealed in an interview last March 27 ET that the story for the movie sequel will take place in the present. That means the story will pick up after the series ended.
According to The Associated Press, Carter said the story will also have a reference to William, the supposedly alien son of Scully who was introduced in Season 8, but given up for adoption in the last season.
X-Files writer Frank Spotnitz, along with Carter and other members of the crew, gathered at the William S. Paley Television Festival on March 26 to talk about the TV series and upcoming movie sequel. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny return to their roles as Dana Scully and Fox Mulder that are loved by fans all over the world. Are you excited? I know you are... Check em out shooting in Vancouver yesterday.

And I got this from an actor's LJ....apparently they film scenes in a mental institution..scary. Actor's Update: X-Files movie background gig So, I finally got to be a part of the X-Files family. After all these years.
I just missed the X-Files when I became a professional actor ten years ago. They had moved on to Los Angeles the year before. I have to say, the show was never the same without the grey sombre Vancouver skies.
But they are back, and the skies let loose a torrent today. Duchovny was nowhere in sight, but Gillian was there, bright eyed and looking a little cold. At one point, I found myself with an arm around her. She was stepping backwards and walked into me. I grabbed her to prevent her from falling. Mind you, all I was wearing was pajamas and a bathrobe at the time. Long story.
We were filming in the historic Riverview Mental Hospital, an insitution which has been closed now for decades but which is still haunted by the spirits of the tortured souls who used to inhabit the place. There are tunnels underneath the ground and little rooms with peepholes in the attic. The walls have been painted for sets so often (it appears as a hospital in just about every movie made in Vancouver), that the fingernail scratches in the wall are almost all filled in. People claim to have seen and heard apparitions, but it's only rumour to me.
I only got the call yesterday to work today and now I wind up working on the same set tomorrow. Woohoo.
Except some people were lucky and were in at crew call which was 9 am. My call time was 2:30 and was wrapped at 11:48. It was what we call in the business a hard eight - eight hours of work for the minimum eight hours pay. I'm not complaining however. Two days is better than one.
Dinner was excellent. Lemon and Rosemary chicken skewers. Some people had the lamb which also look great. Fabulous bean and ham soup. Sweet mashed Yams. And a very nice salad. Dessert was an orange cake with whipped cream on top. I was quite content with that.
Crafty was quite good too, and they brought pizzas in around ten pm. You do not starve on set. Let me put it that way.
Tomorrow, more of the same.
I hope he posts again after day 2 of his scenes.

Are There More X-Files Spoilers Out There? Written on March 9, 2008 by Niall Browne It seems to me that every other week we discover a new X-Files 2 plot "spoiler." Every time, I duly inform you of said spoiler and then I tell you that I don't believe that it's true, and that it is just Chris Carter's way of trying to stop people like me from letting too much of the story out into the public domain.
Fair enough, I'm quite enjoying this little game, and I can't wait to see this film when it hits the big screen this summer.
We have seen everything ranging from "leaked" call sheets, a supposed werewolf picture with Chris Carter and even a beautifully photo-shopped picture of David Duchovny mid-werewolf transformation.
Now for yet another news update.
According to XFilesNews.com, Scully works as a doctor in a hospital and the film will be pretty gory: featuring a scene where a woman's head is chopped off by a "crazy man."

WONDERCON '08: A Third 'X-Files' Movie and Krycek's Return? Articles Written by XFN Team Saturday, 08 March 2008 Source: JustPressPlay
Even with big hitters like Iron Man, easily the biggest and hottest panel at Wondercon this weekend was the X-Files 2 panel. The frenzy that the nerds got into as they showed the Wondercon exclusive teaser or when Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny walked out onto the stage showed that.
The duo was accompanied by creator Chris Carter and writer Frank Spotnitz. They looked exhausted so the panel wasn't as lively as it could've been, but they still answered questions the best that they could and the atmosphere was still a lot of fun largely thanks to Duchovny's sense of humor. It was then reminded that they were still filming and had flown to San Francisco from the set after shooting scenes all night. Chris Carter especially admitted that he didn't sleep at all save for a 15-minute nap on the plane ride over. The fact that they agreed to do the 'Con despite this being their weekend off and they had to give up their Saturday to come here was greatly appreciated by the fans, who all showed it by giving them standing ovations and the loudest cheer at this year's Con.
"You know, people have asked Chris and I, and Frank and Gillian of course... Do you think there's still an audience for your show?" Duchovny said. "Personally, it feels very nice to see you guys here and to know, you know -- We thought you were still out there, and we're convinced now that you are."
I can write a recap for the panel, and indeed I did, but WeeklyComicBookReview posted a video of the entire panel that's pretty impressive in its clarity, so you can download it here to watch the whole thing. The panel was about 40 minutes long.
A few highlights from the Q&A:
The first question went straight to the point. Do they anticipate making another movie? Carter quickly answered, "Right away."
A fan asked if Krycek would be in the movie. The character was killed off in the series, but made an appearance as a ghost in the series finale. While Carter refused to give a straight answer, he teased that "nobody's ever really dead in The X-Files."
When asked about the approach of the 2012 end of the world date discussed in the series finale, Carter's elusive answer doesn't suggest that it's addressed in the film at all, seeing how they're staying away from the show's mythology and just want to make a scary movie. However, he assured that it's "definitely looming in our minds."
Mark Snow will indeed do the score for the movie.
Amanda Peet's character is an FBI agent named Dakota Whitney.
Now as for that trailer, I'm surprised that YouTube hasn't taken it down yet, but you can watch it here courtesy of someone's cell phone. While I don't really condone the taping of these footage from conventions seeing how it's unfair to the people who paid money and wait ridiculously long lines to be there (plus, you never want to piss off the people kind enough to show these premature glimpses that they don't even need to do), it's out there anyway, and I'll let 20th Century Fox decide to take it down or not when they catch up to it.

Duchovny's tales get an X-certificate Articles Written by XFN Team Tuesday, 04 March 2008 SN The Daily Express CY (c) 2008 Express Newspapers
David Duchovny has been putting the willies up Billy Connolly by telling him spooky ghost stories about his Scottish grandmother on the remote Canadian set the of
35million movie sequel.
Duchovny, who plays agent Fox Mulder, has been regaling the comedian with tales of his Scottish heritage.
"It's usually Billy who does all the entertaining on film sets, " says a friend. "But he's been absolutely entranced with David's supernatural stories about his maternal grandmother Margaret, who came from Skye."
The Big Yin has been filming since the beginning of January for his role in the hotly anticipated film, which also stars Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully. Connolly's character, an FBI informant, is leading Mulder and Scully to a site where dead bodies of 200,000 year old genetic mutants have been buried.
"The weather has been atrocious and Billy was getting bored so David started on about the tales his old gran used to tell him of life on Skye, " the friend adds.
"Billy was fascinated to hear how David, who has degrees in English literature from Princeton and Yale, has an open mind when it comes to the paranormal."
Apparently Duchovny regards himself as "intellectually receptive" to certain "weird stuff" due to a few personal experiences for which he is still seeking explanations - one of them involving his gran.
"The two of them have really hit it off. When Billy heard David was half-Scottish and half-Jewish he joked: "I won't be asking you for any money then."
Rap star Xzibit and Syriana actress Amanda Peet have also joined the cast of a film shrouded in secrecy. One crew member says: "We saw a scene featuring a group of mysterious FBI marching across the icy Antarctic snows, with Billy Connolly as a mad grey haired man in the lead, crying out, 'We've found it!'
"They cut to lightning fast shots of a body being dragged over ice, Scully looking hotter than hell, and Mulder looking not so bad himself."
Connolly is expected to finish on the film next week, then he'll be back in New York to prepare for his show Billy Connolly Live! playing for 10 nights at San Francisco's Post Street Theatre.
(Thanks Phil!)

Anderson and Duchovny want love scene axed Written by XFN Team Monday, 17 December 2007 Sources: Daily Express, pr-inside.com , contactmusic.com
(this is the article which makes the XFN team debate whether they should add a "Funnies" category. However, the Enquirer was right in 1998...guess we'll have to wait and see - and that's our stand on this one, read on.)
X FILES co-stars GILLIAN ANDERSON and DAVID DUCHOVNY are reportedly locked in a battle with the producers of their new movie over an explicit love scene.
The duo - who play FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in the hit TV show - are pleading with bosses to axe a bedroom scene involving the pair from the new X Files movie.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "There was one draft of the script where Mulder and Scully have a bedroom scene but it looks like that has been put on hold.
"David and Gillian are concerned about having the characters involved in some kind of love story, as they feel that was the beginning of the end of the original show.
"Negotiations are on-going."
