Question: Did Gossip Girl sign Michelle Trachtenberg as a regular yet? — Brett
Ausiello: Nope, and I'm kind of OK with that. I think Blair Waldorf put it best when she told Georgina in the finale: "Haven't you heard? I'm the crazy bitch around here." Speaking of GG, the show is about to start production on an episode shot almost entirely at Yale University. Or at least some corner of Central Park dressed up to look like Yale University. Anyway, the whole gang (i.e. Blair, Serena, Dan, Nate, etc) will be there for their first round of college interviews and to, you know, party like it's 2010.

Gossip Girl - Casting News
It's OMFG day here on the Cut folks: Michael Kors will guest-star on the upcoming season of Gossip Girl. And we are sooooo excited. It sounds like he plays himself since WWD reports he shot part of the "Fashion Week–themed" episode on Tuesday at Capitale where a fashion show takes place. A Fashion Week–themed episode on Gossip Girl? We haven't felt this funny a feeling in our stomachs since we learned the Sex and the City movie would be set at the tents!
Kors told WWD that Gossip Girl is like crack for him, too. Okay, maybe not those exact words: "I was glued into ‘Gossip Girl’ from Day One. I think it truly is the ‘car-crash-that’s-glamorous.’ Probably to the consternation of certain people on the Upper East Side, they really get it. It’s a pretty clear picture of how a lot of these kids really are.” Well, except the poor ones who live in Brooklyn and carry Valentino bags, but whatever. Kors also told WWD, “I love the clothes, everyone is good-looking, the plot line is a riot. I love the show. They called and said, ‘You are very Gossip Girl.’ I thought, ‘Finally, I am a teenager.’” Hooray!

Gossip Girls - Latest Details from Kristin
Lory in New York: What is gonna happen when our Gossip Girl favorites graduate school? Please, tell me anything. You know we love you.
Looks like the Gossip Girl series is sticking close to the books when it comes to college admissions: In an upcoming ep, several of the kids head to New Haven to check out the Yale campus. If they eventually graduate, they'll join a prestigious list of fictional Yale alumni that includes Rory Gilmore (Gilmore Girls), Joshua Lyman (The West Wing) and Montgomery Burns (The Simpsons).

Gossip Girl - Filming Report
The first scene I saw:
Chuck sees Serena across the quad and calls out, "I know you're not a geography major, but Brown is in Rhode Island." Serena looks annoyed and says, "I don't have time for this, Chuck." I couldn't hear the rest of the dialogue, but Chuck looked pretty pleased and S looked pretty pissed. She kept trying to walk away and he would call something back to her. She turned around and bitched him out a bit, then stalked off. Chuck continued to look like he wanted to have sex with someone in the vicinity. The PA guy filled me in that Serena had done something to upset Blair, so they were fighting. During one fight, Blair said that Serena couldn't even get into Yale if she tried, so Serena has decided to visit Yale instead of Brown to spite Blair/prove her wrong.
The second scene: Chuck is walking around a corner, bumps into a beautiful man dressed all in black. The beautiful man (Skull and Bones) whips Chuck around, two other guys come out and throw a brown bag over his head. The S&B leader whispers something in his ear and they carry him off.
The third scene: Blair sees Serena coming out of a "Yale" building and says, "What are you doing here? Yale is mine!" Serena replies, "Oh, I hear Yale has a great drama program." I didn't hear the rest of the dialogue, but my friend who was an extra for the day informed me that Blair accuses Serena of trying to take everything from her, and says that S is just at Yale out of spite. Serena denies it, then gets a phone call and is like, "Oh, a private party at the dean's house? I'd LOVE to come." Blair is piiiiissed.
The fourth scene: The next day, Blair and Serena meet up again and Serena apologizes, saying Blair was right and she shouldn't have tried to take Yale out of spite. Blair forgives her and says she's sorry, too. They hold hands.
The fifth scene: A crane shot of Dan walking along the quad. He gets a phone call, appears a little distraught or unnerved by it and starts walking very quickly in the opposite direction.

Gossip Girl - Latest from Ausiello
Question: You've seen the first two Gossip Girl episodes?! Spill! --Melissa Ausiello: As I mentioned in my Gossip Girl premiere party wrap-up video, I got the distinct impression that the show is laying the groundwork for a possible Rufus/Vanessa pairing. The signs are subtle, but they're there. I'm curious to see what you guys think. Elsewhere, there's a scene between Leighton Meester and guest-cougar Madchen Amick in the second episode that was so good I nearly wept. No surprise that exec producer Stephanie Savage -- who's second only to Patrick Mulcahey (Santa Barbara) when it comes to writing bitchtastic dialogue –- penned the outing. Oh, and many words have been used to describe Chace Crawford's Nate – hot, sexy, tasty, yummy, etc. Well, by the end of the second ep, you'll be able to add male prostitute to that list.

Gossip Girl - Episode 2.01 - Summer Kind of Wonderful - Detailed Episode Synopsis
Season Two of Gossip Girl opens in New York's Hamptons region of Long Island. Summer fun - and romantic drama - for all involved.
When we first see Nate (Chace Crawford), he is in the process of getting pawed feverishly in the car by a cougar. In other words, an older, married woman. He's clearly more into her than he's letting on, and relishing the role of boy-toy.
Nate has been masquerading that he and Serena are together, but really, she is just playing along so that he can do whatever he wants and people will leave her alone about her messy breakup with Dan.
Speaking of Lonely Boy... he's been far from lonely. He's got a summer job assisting a well-known writer in the Hamptons, but rather than writing, he is focused more on his endeavors with the opposite sex.
He's dating two chicks at the same time. Go Dan!
The younger Humphrey, Jenny, is working at a fashion design house. She's getting abused by its big-shot owner and told she's not good enough. What she really needs is a friend. A friend named Eric.
Chuck Bass is being, well, Chuck Bass, lounging on the beach and keeping company with three bikini-clad babes all too eager to provide "caretaking" of whatever he requests. But what he's really fixated on is Blair.
He wants her back even though he ditched her in the first place. One gets the sense she would be open to it - but first, she's coming to the Hamptons with new boyfriend James. A boyfriend she's using to make Chuck jealous.
Chuck sees through this right away, but at dinner with Blair and her family, he's annoyed at how interested James seems to be in his girl. James then catches on that he's being played and calls Blair selfish.
The cougar, Katherine, invites Nate to her house for another mauling - and apparently for the first time at her actual resident. Her husband is out of town, so that's cool. Well, that is until he comes home early from wherever he was, and nearly catches them in the act.
Nate is forced to flee out a window and run through the streets of East Hampton half naked, where he's almost run over by Serena and the hot lifeguard Blair convinced her to go on a date with.
Nothing came of their date - except the priceless look on Nate's face as he looked at Serena and the dude asked her "What's that guy's deal?!"
The Hamptons "White Party" is coming up and lots of things are happening. Jenny apologizes to Eric (Connor Paolo) for the way she treated him, and he agrees to get her an invitation somehow.
Dan is also going, having been axed from his summer job. So are faux couple Serena and Nate - who wants to get a look at Katherine's husband face-to-face.
Chuck has been doing some recon on Blair's boyfriend, and is growing more and more suspicious that he's not the Georgetown stud he says he is.
At the party, Jenny runs into her boss, who is none too pleased to see her - but Eric saves the day by introducing J to Tinsley Mortimer, a real-life socialite and apparent friend of Eric and Serena's mom.
Tinsley loves Jenny's designs and they totally hit it off. Thanks to Little E's connection, Little J was able to show her boss up somethin' fierce!
Nate becomes insanely jealous seeing Katherine with her husband. Serena helps him retaliate with some serious PDA in full view of everyone.
The move works well for Nate, who is later tackled by a jealous Katherine. But it backfires on Serena as Dan sees them. He's not pleased when once again, his dream girl can't or won't explain her strange actions.
For once, though, Dan is knocked off his moral high horse when BOTH his summer flings corner him at the party as he's talking to Serena. They've figured out that he's been two-timing them and douse him in cocktails.
Humbled, Dan admits to Serena that he can't get her out of his head. They agree to leave the party together and talk some more.
Just as Chuck is about to uncover James' true identity, he spills the beans to Blair himself. It turns out James was also being dishonest with her - he is actually Marcus Beaton, a British Lord. With an accent and everything!
Most girls simply want him for his title and money, he tells Blair - so he has been pretending to be an average American this whole time. Suddenly Queen B finds him a little less dull than she used to.
As she's about to leave the White Party with Marcus, Chuck corners Blair and begs her not to. She says if he will say just three words - eight letters - she'll be his. Chuck wants to, but stutters and just can't.

Gossip Girl - Detailed Season 2 Info
Season two continues with Serena's rising social status, as she becomes a New York City It Girl. Taking Manhattan by storm seems a fun distraction, but when elements of her bad-girl personality begin to emerge, will Serena's newfound status fuel bad habits? Plus, as Serena and Dan struggle to come to terms with their breakup, Dan unwittingly crosses Serena, and he sees what she is really capable of. Dan also acquires a mentor — a literary lion who urges him to explore his grittier side. But will he lose his moral compass?
Blair dates someone out of her league and is dealt a severe betrayal. This won't be the only betrayal Blairwill face, as someone close to her threatens her queen bee status. But Blair will dish up ill will of her own — no one leaves her in Tuscany, certainly not Chuck Bass … Meanwhile, Chuck demonstrates how truly Machiavellian he can be, as he helps facilitate the fall of one queen bee and the rise of another. Chuck and Blair's love-hate relationship rises to new levels; he regrets his decision to leave her, and tries to make everyone — including Blair — pay for his mistake.
Nate shocks everyone with a scandalous new relationship with a sexy older woman, all the while trying to deal with the consequences of his father jumping bail. How will Nate handle these newfound financial woes? What schemes or dreams will he come up with to make money?
Jenny continues her Cinderella story, substituting Blair for her mother, Eleanor, and a job at Eleanor's atelier. Jenny also develops a friendship with a model who gets her in over her head in the dark, adult world of fashion. This girl is the fun, wild friend who pulls Jenny away from family and school and into the night … something Rufus is not happy about.
Vanessa's life gets turned around by the return of her unstable sister, a force whose wrongs Vanessa is always trying to right. Plus, she gets pulled back into Nate's drama, and, though she tries to be a good friend to him, it is hard on her. Vanessa opens the door a bit more to her life and why she is the way she is. She also gets a job that brings her closer to the world of Rufus.
Rufus, meanwhile, has returned from tour with the realization that the dreams he gave up haven't left his mind. He'll have to choose which path he wants to follow. Rufus starts to date again, something that brings him into conflict with Lily. He is also in conflict with Jenny, over her future, and with Dan, and Dan's new attitude to live more and take bigger risks.
Lily returns from a three-month globetrotting honeymoon as Mrs. Bart Bass to find herself thrust into a new level of Manhattan society — and all the privileges and pressures that come with it. The public unveiling of the new apartment — palace or gilded cage? — lends incredible stress and Lily starts to question the choices she's made. She also finds out that her new husband knows more about her than she thought, as he attempts to clean up and contain her past. Lily's attempts to maintain some type of relationship with Rufus and escape from the mundane duties of a society wife force Rufus to draw the line, and, for the first time in their history, Lily finds that she's the one rebuffed.
Through it all, Gossip Girl is there. Keeping track of the shifting friendships, jealousies and turmoil in this wealthy and complex world isn't easy, but it's what Gossip Girl does best (always with an X and an O).

Gossip Girl - Latest from Kristin
Tatiana in Baltimore: Loving the scoop on season two of Gossip Girl, but what is going on with Vanessa and Jenny? Clearly they are not chilling in the Hamptons!? Jenny has been an intern for Blair's mama, Eleanor, and she's clearly moving on up because she'll even make a surprise appearance at the infamous White Party. As for Vanessa, I smell a new, scandalous romance brewing, and I don't like it one bit. (Hint: older man.) Chace Crawford, Gossip Girl Eric Liebowitz /The CW
Danielle in Glendale, Calif.: What's going on with those hot boys on Gossip Girl? Nate is still in financial trouble (thanks, Daddy!), but he gets a loan from a new friend to help cover the difference. And Chuck...well, Chuck will make you squeal like a 13-year-old girl (especially if you are a 13-year-old girl) when he gets close enough to a certain Upper East Side lady to swap spit with her. Yes, Chuck is kissing someone, and I think you'll very much like who!

Gossip Girl - Episode 2.02 - Never Been Marcused
Thanks to The CW, I had the chance to watch this episode. Here are some spoilers I can reveal: The episode starts the morning after Episode 2.01. Serena and Dan want to "think" about their relationship before officially getting back together. Blair wants to learn more about her new boyfriend. She even throws a boring grown-up party in the hope he'll see she's serious enough to meet his parents. Let's say the party gets interesting when his mother shows up... Rufus is back from his tour but he is pondering going back on the road. Vanessa tries to reconnect, even if just as a friend, with Nate but the latter is too busy for her.

Gossip Girl - New York TV critic's review of Season 2 Premiere
To appropriate the " Gossip Girl" ad campaign, OMFG is right.
The deliciously ludicrous rich-kid soap is back Monday, with more scandal than ever. Social climbing, back stabbing, home wrecking, bail jumping, intentional heart breaking, unintentional heart breaking. And this is on top of all the garden-variety teen misbehavior.
The show's strength is its plot twists and cliff hangers, so I can't reveal specifics, but I can tell you that the antics of Serena van der Woodsen and the gang stretch credibility while remaining trashily entertaining.
As the season opens in the Hamptons, a jilted Blair proves she's still Queen B, rubbing her new boy toy in Chuck's face; Dan and Serena manage to be as insufferable broken up as they were together; Jenny takes on the business world, faring much better than she did in Constance Billard's strict social hierarchy; and Chuck … well, he's Chuck Bass.
In a pleasant surprise, gorgeous wooden statue Nate is actually becoming a full-fledged character, with a compelling storyline of his own. Since his fraud-committing, drug-addicted father fled the country at the end of last season, he's blossoming as the man of the house. But don't be too proud of him -- he's doing some of that blossoming with someone else's wife.
The show is by no means high art. Heck, it's not even the best program currently on television. But the salacious behavior of pretty people is endlessly watchable, and "Gossip Girl" gives us just that.
