Question: You can't just leave me hanging as to why Bones is looking for a new full-time forensic anthropologist. Who's leaving? — Katie Ausiello: Actually, I just double-checked the Ask Ausiello rulebook, and I can leave you hanging. Not only that, but I can even heighten your anxiety if I want. Which reminds me: Did I tell you about the two deaths coming up? One of them occurs in the May 12 episode, the other in the May 19 season finale.

Question: Do you have any Bones scoop? — Gerri Ausiello: I'm trying to think of something that's bigger than the kiss and the two deaths I just told you about. Oh, here's something: There's a very good chance that the fourth-season premiere will air on Aug. 26 and be two hours long. And that's not the best part. No, the best part is waiting for you in this week's Ausiello Report vodcast!

Question: I'm a huge fan of Bones. I have one question: Is one of the two deaths you mentioned in last week's Ask Ausiello not real?— Rita Ausiello: Good question. It actually might not be. Shortly after AA went live last week, a Bones insider e-mailed me to say, "There are actually two casualties coming up — only one of which leads to death." My mole's tip was all but confirmed by co-star Eric Millegan at TV Guide's Sexiest Stars Party. Actually, Millegan had a lot to say about this season's final two episodes (airing May 12 and 19), paying specific attention to the fate of his character, Zack, and the evil Gormogon. Exclusive: Bones Boss Responds to Finale "Zack-lash"You grumbled, I did something about it. Taking note of the passionate reaction to the season-finale bombshell that Zack — Zack! — is the Gormogon's apprentice, I invited Bones creator Hart Hanson to share the rationale behind the reveal. Let me know if this soothes the sting at all. TVGuide.com: Between Bones and House, Fox was really out to shake up its viewers this Monday night, eh?Boy, that's for sure! Don't you think? Good lord! TVGuide.com: In assessing the Zack reveal, many of our readers are tossing around words such as "unforgivable," "manipulative," "cop-out," "illogical"....[Laughs] The first thing you do, of course, is be delighted they are tossing any words around. They're responding, which is what you want. The really bad response would have been silence. TVGuide.com: Right. As one reader noted, "what good TV does" is get people talking. And we certainly did that. There are a bunch of reasons why we did what we did, the most important being that we're going into our fourth season and you want an audience to know that you're not "in a box," that anything can happen. Even though we're half a comedy, you don't want an audience settling in and getting blasé. We knew pre-strike even there would be changes at Bones. TVGuide.com: Some have speculated that the strike-shortened season chipped away at what could have been a better build-up to the Gormogon arc, laying the foundation for Zack's motivation — such as post-traumatic stress. That's very good, yes. Initially the plan — and things go through so many iterations — was that we would find that Zack was either the apprentice to the Gormogon, or that he was approached by the Gormogon, rebuffed the offer, and then was killed. Any number of scenarios were explored. But coming back from the strike, we only had two episodes to set things up, and this presented the maximum bang for our buck — "Let's shock everyone" — and that seems to have worked to an extent. I am delighted for our show, and for Eric Millegan, that some people are furious. TVGuide.com: Eric told us that an "I'm sorry" from Zack was left on the editing room floor. That's right. The "I'm sorry" on top of the big fat tear was gilding the lily. God bless Eric, he squeezed out a huge tear, in character. Zack is somewhat distanced from his emotions, so it was as though the interior part of him was sorry but his intellect didn't know it. When he said, "I'm sorry" after that, it was a repetitive beat. Plus, he's such a sympathetic character — unlike Brennan, who can be colder — everyone assumes he's sorry anyway. TVGuide.com: Did you consider making anyone else the Gormogon's apprentice?Oh, hell yes. And we certainly did everything we could to throw suspicion on everyone we could. TVGuide.com: The Bones cast and crew is still at work, right?Yes. It was the oddest thing — as soon as we got back, we shot two episodes to end Season 3. Then we shot another four episodes, but they won't air until after the season opener we're shooting in London in the latter half of June. TVGuide.com: Is the London episode a stand-alone?Yes. Booth and Brennan go off to solve a crime in London. It's a big, two-hour [season premiere]. TVGuide.com: Let me guess — they have wacky run-ins with the Bobbies.[Laughs] That's exactly correct. And funny English people. TVGuide.com: Anything else you want to say about the finale and Eric's status with the show moving forward?Eric was a consummate pro about it, and he hated keeping it a secret. He was really worried that his fans would turn against him. But we have not seen the last of him. He won't be in every episode, but Zack has certain talents we can use in a "Hannibal Lecter" kind of way. We can go visit him and he can look at stuff. If my voice sounds light right now, it's because the decision was not made lightly. But we've got to do what we've got to do. source

From Eric Millegan to the Boneyard (Online Fan Forum for Bones) Hello wonderful members of the Boneyard, Now that you've seen tonight's episode, you've found out what I found out two months ago. I will no longer be a series regular on "Bones." Creatively, they decided to carry out this storyline in which my character, Zack, was the apprentice to the Gormogon serial killer. The storyline landed Zack in a psychiatric facility and so he is no longer working at the Jeffersonian. This wasn't my choice, but I embraced the challenge as an actor. Over the last two months, I have been auditioning for some very interesting projects and I will keep you informed as to how it all goes. I'm also planning on bringing my cabaret show to NYC before the year is over. Once the date is set, I will let you know. I want to apologize to all of you for the times, over the last two months, in which I've had to be vague about still working on the show. I know that I told TV Guide that no one was leaving the show and well, you never know, my character is alive and there's always the chance that he could return. Maybe they'll have to visit Zack to help solve a case! I couldn't tell you the whole truth because I was sworn to secrecy by the producers to tell no one about my leaving the show until now. I hated not being able to tell you (it really really sucked) but well, unfortunately, it was my job to keep the secret. There you go. I will really miss being on the show and I will really miss working with my friends David, Emily, Michaela, TJ, John, Tamara, Patricia and company. I loved working with Hart, Stephen, Barry and all the other producers, writers, and directors. I enjoyed working with the crew and it was an honor to be a member of the FOX family for 3 years. From day one, I have read all of your comments every night after every show and it's meant so much to me. You have been my live audience. Thank you. Eric Millegan source

Question: Three Ask Ausiellos and still no Bones scoop! — Katie
Ausiello: And the streak ends there. A casting notice has gone out for Brennan's newest grad student. In addition to being bright and taciturn, the early twentysomething will be sexy in a blue-collar sort of way (see Jack Slattery, not Dan Connor).

Can you confirm the Bones gossip that there will be a kiss between our favorite non-couple in the Season 4 episode "Crank in the Shaft"? — Magali Mickey: I can neither confirm nor deny the buzz — else risk penalty of death — but I will cryptically say this: It's best not to focus on this one episode in particular. There are lots of surprises planned for this season.
Will Bones ever revisit the Gravedigger story from Season 2? Brennan and Hodgins were buried alive, for crying out loud! Wouldn't they be devoting a bit more of their time to catching this guy? — Rachael Mickey: Good memory! My source tells me that the writers will be exploring storylines involving the Gravedigger this season.

Bones - Season 4 Premiere Info Posted by DarkUFO at 2:23 PM (Comments: 0) Labels: Bones Bones creator Hart Hanson has revealed how the hit forensic show's season four premiere came to film in London.
Speaking at a press conference last week, Hanson explained that network Fox was looking to air two-hour season premiere specials for shows in its Autumn line-up.
He said: "We worked out a story that seemed to work only in England. Once the network saw the outline they got on board. I'm shocked because the exchange rate is brutal here for us!"
The premiere, which has filmed in locations at Wrotham Park, Greenwich, Canary Wharf and the Guildhall, will see Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) attempt to solve the murder of an American girl.
Hanson explained: "It has a slight Upstairs, Downstairs aspect to it, with servants and royalty and the class system. An heiress with an American father is yanked from the Thames in her Range Rover.
"Brennan and Booth are here lecturing. Booth is lecturing at Scotland Yard and Brennan is lecturing at Oxford about working with cops. The murder happens... the FBI would have jurisdiction over it if Scotland Yard invited them."

Bones - Latest from E!Online Posted by DarkUFO at 9:39 AM (Comments: 0) Labels: Bones He's heeere...Inside sources tell me that the producers of Fox's Bones have cast an actor to play Angela's long-lost husband. Click in to find out which guy got the extremely great gig of canoodling with Michaela Conlin on a regular basis.
I'm told that Sean Blakemore (you can IMDb him here) will be playing Grayson Birimbau, the superperfect über-mensch (kind and brilliant, and hot and rich to boot) who met Angela one hot night in Fiji and persuaded her to become his wife (even if just for that one hot night).
Way back in April, Bones creator Hart Hanson told WWK, "We're gonna find the best guy in the world for Angela. Whoever we finally cast, Jack has to be completely and utterly cowed when this guy finally walks in."
And at the Asian Excellence Awards the lovely Ms. Michaela herself told E! that the producers were looking at Djimon Hounsou as the prototypical Birimbau. (I guess Kimora Lee was keepin' him busy living life in her Fab Lane on E!)
What do you think? Did they hit close to the Djimon Hounsou mark? And more importantly, what will the introduction of Birimbau mean for Angela's love affair with Dr. Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne)? Are they ever going to be able to disentangle this mess and tie the knot themselves?

Bones Episode 4x01 - The Yanks in the UK Posted by The ODI at 8:44 PM (Comments: 0) Labels: Bones Episode 4x01: The Yanks in the U.K., Part One (Season premiere)
Airdate: September 3, 2008 at 8 p.m.
Grayson "Birimbau" Barasa, aka Angela's husband, finally surfaces. He doesn't want to sign the divorce papers, claiming that he still loves Angela. She told him that she now loves Hodgins but Birimbau doesn't want to listen. He reminds her of the night they met and how they both felt in the hope that Angela's love for him comes back. Later, Hodgins meets with Birimbau at a diner to have him sign the papers. Birimbau tells Hodgins that he has been looking for Angela for the past four years and that he even built her a house in Florida so there is no way he will let her go without a fight. Angela and Sweets meet Hodgins and Birimbau outside of the diner. Hodgins and Birimbau start to fight and Sweets joins in on the action before Angela walks off. One of the London folks Brennan and Booth interact with is Inspector Cate Pritchard.

Bones - The He in the She Posted by DarkUFO at 8:41 PM (Comments: 0) Labels: Bones Two hippies fish out a skeletonized wrist. Cam, Booth, Brennan and a grad student go to the scene to investigate. The lab is using some of Brennan's brighter grad students until they hire a permanent Forensic Anthropologist. In this episode, grad student Vincent Juarez is working along the team. Brennan doesn't seem happy with this tasking and sends Vincent back to the lab even if Cam brought him along. Vincent also has a hard time around Cam because he makes lame jokes and uses familiar terms that will not please Brennan. At first, the team believes the body is that of a female, 40-year-old Patricia Ludmuller. Further investigation proves that Patricia was born a male. Brennan and Booth still have therapy sessions with Sweets. Hodgins and Angela also appear.
