***UPDATED*** USA Today previews DH - first pic releasedEDIT: WB has sent us a high-res version of the pic below. David Yates and Rupert Grint discussed the feel of Deathly Hallows Part 1 in an interview with USA Today. The best part? With it comes our first official picture from Deathly Hallows released by WB! From USA Today's article: "It's going to feel very real," Yates says. "We're going for a verite approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they're like these three refugees on the run. They're out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don't have a home to go to. "We're kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it," he says.

The Part 1/Part 2 split: Warner Brothers had hoped to keep the exact split between Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 under wraps, but actor Joshua Herman (Goyle) revealed at a fan convention that the split was planned to be made right after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor. Please note that Warner Brothers has made it clear that they may change where the split occurs, so this information may change.

Current Filming Status:
(10/11/2009) Filming for parts one and two are still underway and filming is believed to be on schedule. In early October, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy) and Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) were shooting scenes together. Evanna Lynch and Matthew Lewis confirmed in late September that producers for the film were making sure the Final Battle was receiving a lot of attention in terms of detail and length.

Dan Radcliffe describes Deathly Hallows set as "absolute madness"
As the DVD of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" hits shelves Tuesday (December 8), the first peeks at the next and final films in the series — the two parts of "Deathly Hallows" — have begun to hit the Web: two photos and even a teaser trailer.
Behind that pristine multimedia, however, lies a production still very much in flux, as the cast told MTV News in recent interviews. Perhaps "flux" is even putting mildly, compared to star Daniel Radcliffe's characterization.
"It's chaos and it's fear and we're terrified we're not going to get it right, and it's absolute madness with rewrites and script changes and scripts not being written and then coming," he said with a smile. "It's just mad."
But Radcliffe and the "Potter" cast and crew have been this way before, and it all seems to work out in the end. The six films in the franchise have grossed more than $1.7 billion domestically.
"Amidst all that, something wonderful hopefully will emerge," Radcliffe said. "That's what I quite like about the film industry. Chaos bears something so cool and great and polished out into the world."
As the craziness of a film production swirls around them, the "Potter" cast — the nucleus of which has been in place for almost a decade — has been enjoying the chance to reunite on camera and after shooting wraps each day.
"It's been amazing to keep the core group of us here since the beginning," said Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley. "No one's been left or changed. I think that dynamic has developed year to year. There's a safeness when you come back to the film. It's like coming back to school."
Exactly, and sometime schoolmates dole out a bit of good-natured name-calling to one another, as is the case with Rupert Grint, following his much-publicized illness this summer.
"It's been great seeing Rupert again, whose nickname is now Pigboy Heart Attack, after his bout with swine flu," Radcliffe laughed.

Jessie Cave to film Fenrir Greyback attack scene in coming weeks
Over the weekend, Snitch Seeker sat down with actors Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch and Jessie Cave at the HMV OxfordStreet store for the Blu-ray release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
One interesting bit of information is that Cave will start filming shortly and said the scene in which her character, Lavender Brown, is attacked by Death Eater Fenrir Greyback will be included in the movie.
SnitchSeeker: Do you know if you're character (like in the book) gets attacked by Fenrir Greyback?
Jessie Cave: Yeah, that is in, so that's exciting. A bit scared 'cause he's quite a big guy, but it'll actually be fun.
Tom Felton: Is this Dave? Ah, he's a sweetheart. Kind of like a house on fire.

Tom Felton Dishes About 'Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows' Finale
'I guess they're still making decisions about it now,' he says of flash-forward postscript.
Perhaps the two biggest questions surrounding "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the two-part finale of J.K. Rowling's book series, are how filmmakers will handle the author's flash-forward postscript and what in the world Potter-philes will do when there are no more novels or films to look forward to.
The answer to that second question remains to be seen. But what will director David Yates do about the ending? Following the epic Harry vs. Voldemort smackdown, Rowling jumped ahead almost two decades to catch up with her characters in the future. For the big-screen adaptation, does that mean older actors will portray Harry and the rest of the grown-up students? Or that the young stars will be aged through makeup effects or CGI technology?
No decision has been made, according to Tom Felton, who plays peroxide-blond villain Draco Malfoy. "We haven't shot that yet, and I still haven't had the confirmation whether I'm doing it or we're going to get someone else to do it," he told MTV News while promoting the DVD for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." "I haven't heard too much. I guess they're still making decisions about it now. It is a very exciting scene. I know Daniel [Radcliffe] and I have talked about it and said it'd be a lot of fun to do."
Back in July, Yates told us he was gunning to use Radcliffe and the rest of the cast for the postscript through the use of technology similar to that employed in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." "There's something extraordinary about the audience's knowledge of them when they were this high and then seeing them where they are 38," he said. "There's something really beautiful about that circle, so it has to be them. I think if after seven or eight movies, we recast them in that last scene — we all thought, 'No way, we can't do that.' "
While Felton joked that he'd be cool with having Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio step in to play an adult Draco, the British actor maintained that he's looking forward to seeing what he will look like 19 years in the future. "It'd be kind of freaky to see what they come up with," he said.
Radcliffe is too. "I might get to see what I'd look like if I was 5-foot-8, which will be a thrill for me!" he laughed in a July interview.

^^ I agree. You can't re-cast someone to play them in the very last scene, its just not fair! They have played these characters for years now, all of their teen lives... you cant not let them play their characters for the last scene lol I want it to be CGI! THEY HAVE TO PLAY THEM!!
