2 Heroes Writers/Producers leave show A major development to report from the set of NBC's Heroes: EW.com has learned that co-executive producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander, two of the show's most instrumental writer/producers, are leaving the three-year-old series. Their departure comes at a watershed moment for Heroes, which has taken a serious hit in the ratings amid complaints by critics and fans alike that the show has lost its zeitgeist-tapping appeal. The drama is averaging 9 million-plus viewers this season, down from last year's 11.6 million average. Loeb and Alexander are celebrities in their own right among the fanboys. Loeb is an author of many comic books, including Batman, The Hulk, and Superman For All Seasons, which inspired the creation of Smallville. Loeb joined the then-WB drama in its second season. Alexander was previously a co-exeutive producer on Lost and Alias. It's unclear whether Heroes creator/executive producer Tim Kring will replace the two writer/producers. Source: EW

Ohhh gosh!! I hope this doesn't effect the show too bad! I'm really sad! This season has been awesome so far and these writers have done a great job! Its a shame for them to leave when its doing well... Darn ratings!!! I WISH PEOPLE WOULD WATCH IT!!! All shows seems to be having bad ratings this year!

Official Statements from Alexander and Loeb As reported yesterday here and every where else, Writer/Producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb left the show for "creative differences". What some are reporting is that it means they were fired. Here are the official statements by both writers and there is not much, but what I expected that both would say thanks and wish the cast and the rest of the writers the best. From Loeb:“As of today, Jesse Alexander and I have left Heroes. I’m incredibly proud to have been a big part of the success a show with eight Emmy nods and a win this year for NBC.com. I will miss the superb cast and writing staff and wish everyone the best.”From Alexander:"I write this with a heavy heart. As of today I am no longer a writer/producer on HEROES. I could not be prouder of all the work I did on the show and wish all my Heroic Scribbler pals the very best. I will certainly continue to blog at GLOBAL COUCH."Once again I am not sure if this is the move the show needed right now because Alexander and Loeb were the creative minds connected to the comic book world. I personally felt the show was making a positive move in the story. Unfortunately it always comes down to ratings and money and perhaps now fans realize that these two things can not be ignored. So what do you all think a day later...!? Still feel the same?? Better or worse?? Posted By: The ODI
