Robert Knepper can’t get a ’Break’ from fansSeptember 12, 2008 By Tenley WoodmanNo one got shanked at the Four Seasons yesterday where ‘Prison Break’ actor Robert Knepper was holding court to promote the hit Fox drama and discuss his role as notorious convict Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell. “You don’t want to piss off T-Bag,” laughed Knepper, 49, who returns to the show this season to make life miserable for co-stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. The Northwestern University-trained actor said T-Bag’s onscreen shenanigans have made for some interesting situations off set. The married father of one said he almost asked the network for security after his character sparked a race riot in season one. “I’m going to be walking around Chicago and they are going to think I’m racist,” he said. Receiving dirty looks from strangers is also common, he said. One time, Knepper said, he was waiting for an elevator, the door opened and a young woman inside took one look at him and let out a blood-curdling scream. “Once in a while I’ll get a strange-looking person come up to me. I worry a little bit. I just play what they wrote,” said Knepper. “Prison Break” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Fox. Source
