Angelina Jolie Wigs Out in GreenMon, 02 June 2008 at 10:43 amNew pictures of Angelina Jolie from the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair have surfaced. (The green wig was Ms. Jolie’s idea! It’s also pictured in the background of this photo.) The photos were taken Jan. 31, before everybody’s favorite humanitarian, mother, and sex goddess publicly announced that she was expecting twins in August. Here are some new quotes from her interview, where she lets us inside her celebrity bubble: On why they named their daughter Shiloh: “It’s a biblical name,” she told me, “but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.” On how she plans on raising her kids religion-wise: “[My mother] was Catholic but also a child of the 60s. She stopped going to confession at one point because she was having sex before marriage. To me, she represented what religion should be. She never preached. If things didn’t make sense to her, she never just accepted it. I had Communion, but she never forced me to go to church. Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We’ll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We’ll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church.” On Brad Pitt coming into her life unexpectedly: “After my last divorce, I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something. Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for, you know? I don’t see him as an actor. I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.” On her father Jon Voight and his film Coming Home, which he won the best-actor Oscar in 1979: “Actually. I’ve never seen Coming Home. Because that was when my father left my mom, and the woman who he cheated on her with is in the film.” (When rumors surfaced about Jolie and Pitt, who was then married to Aniston, Jolie denied them, saying, in essence, Look, this is what happened to my mother, so I could never do it to another woman.) Angelina Jolie’s Toil and TearsTue, 03 June 2008 at 3:25 pmCheck out the new trailer below for Wanted, the new action-packed thriller featuring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy. The film opens everywhere on Friday, June 27. In other Jolie-Pitt news, Angie’s attorneys on Monday warned that someone posing as her personal assistant, Holly Goline, had sent out false information about the movie star giving birth. The source for the Entertainment Tonight report was an e-mail supposedly from Goline. An executive at the show said Monday that she wanted to “see how this story plays out” before retracting a report that the twins had been born, despite a claim of an imposter and a denial from partner Brad Pitt’s manager. As for the bidding war for Brad & Angie’s twins, the pics will fetch at least $15 million, reports TMZ. People and OK! are the only glossies left standing. ”This is an absolutely huge, huge story for us,” said Sarah Ivens, editor in chief of OK! ”Essentially you have two of the most beautiful, famous people in the world. We’ve all seen they’ve had one baby, Shiloh, and it is the coolest, most adorable baby on the planet. And this time they’re having two? It can’t get any better.” Wanted trailer featuring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy HERETo view the HD version, visit MySpace.com/TrailerPark

Brad Pitt’s Table for TwoWed, 04 June 2008 at 3:04 pmBrad Pitt picks up a few pieces of contemporary “design art” furniture at the Design Miami/Basel fair held at the 1920s domed Markethalle in Basel, Switzerland on Tuesday. The father-of-almost-six paid $293,000 for a hollow white marble rococo-style table by the Dutch designer Jeroen Verhoeven at the booth of the London-based Carpenters Workshop Gallery. The 4-foot-long “Cinderella Table,” from an edition of six, is hewn from a solid block of Carrara marble. Mr. Pitt also ordered a rug made of aluminum thread from New York dealer Cristina Grajales, said director Elizabeth Murphy. The “Silver Sky” rug, created by Colombian designer Jorge Lizarazo and woven by the Colombian-based studio Hechizoo, will be priced at a rate of $175 per square foot. Brad was also interested in a gold lacquer-coated Fiberglas sofa by Zaha Hadid, offered by London-based dealer Kenny Schachter at $300,000. BTW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANGELINA JOLIE! She turns 33 today.

Brad Pitt has some 'interesting' taste in furnitureBrad Pitt has some far out taste in home furnishings, even on the deep end of artsy fartsy land. He brought home some crazy stuff for Angelina Jolie's 33rd birthday. Us Magazine reports that Brad Pitt spent $500,000+ on home furnishing "art" in Switzerland. Pitt attended Switzerland's Art Basel fair, where he shopped until he nearly dropped. He bought two bronze chairs designed by Max Lamb. a snitch todl Us Magazne. He bought a foam and fiberglass "Family Lamp" and reportedly a $293,000 table. In the recent Vanity Fair article on newstands, Angelina Jolie said Pitt's love of the arts and architecture was her first draw to him. "I don’t see him as an actor," she told Vanity Fair. "I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”

Angelina Jolie's natural birth wishAngelina Jolie is reportedly desperate to give birth naturally. The 'Wanted' actress - who is expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt - was said to be disappointed when she had to have a Caesarean section with her first biological daughter Shiloh, and is determined not to undergo the procedure again. A source said: "She prepared for a natural childbirth for Shiloh and was very disappointed when her doctors told her she would have to undergo a Caesarean section. She is praying everything will go her way and she will be able to enjoy a natural birth. "She has been told to expect the babies early, and that is why she and Brad have gone to France - so they are ready for their babies whenever they decide to make their appearance." Angelina denied reports she had given birth to twin daughters last week, but is expected to welcome the new arrivals into the world before the end of the month.

Chris Martin: I’m Still Trying To Live Up To Brad PittWed, 11 June 2008 at 4:25 pm Coldplay’s Chris Martin is happily married to Gwyneth Paltrow– they even have two kids together. But somehow, Chris still feels like an underdog. “You’ve got to be hungry,” he tells Rolling Stone. “If your wife went out with Brad Pitt, you’d want to prove yourself, you know what I mean?” Brad, then 31, and Gwyn, then 22, started dating in 1995 after they met on the set of the thriller Seven and got engaged in November 1996. Their two-and-a-half-year relationship ended in June 1997. Also in the Rolling Stone article, Chris mentions that he sees reason for hope: “As soon as Barack Obama becomes president, people will be a bit more optimistic. If Obama was to be president, it would immediately change the whole outside world’s opinion of America overnight. America’s public image at the moment is really bad. And it’s a bummer, because over half of Americans are the coolest people on the planet. But they’ve been so misrepresented… But I think that, really, the fair thing would be, in electing the American president, to let everyone in the world vote, because it affects all of us. If there was a world vote, there’s no question who would win. No question. Of course, Barack Obama is human like the rest of us. He’s going to f— up. But I’m just trying to look on the bright side. What’s the point of being negative? Where does that get us? It gets you your own radio chat show, but it doesn’t really do anything for the world.”
