Matthew Fox is a Real DollTue, 19 February 2008 at 10:27 amMatthew Fox, star of the upcoming live action film Speed Racer, makes an appearance at Mattel’s toy fair showroom to unveil a complete line of toys based on the film. Fox, 41, showed off his favorite figurine, a miniature-sized version of his character in the film, Racer X (Speed’s rival). “I’m so excited about this film coming out,” Foxy said. “To see all these things gearing up towards it is really exciting. My little boy [6-year-old son Byron] can’t wait. He actually came to the set while we were shooting, so he saw me in the full Racer X mode. Seeing me in the character was a little intense for him.

Matthew Fox’s Vantage PointTue, 12 February 2008 at 10:11 amMatthew Fox arrives at Roissy Charles de Gaulles airport in Paris, France on Sunday. Fox, 41, is in town to promote the Pete Travis-directed thriller Vantage Point, out Feb. 22. The film’s tagline is: “8 Strangers. 8 Points of View. 1 Truth.” Vantage Point synopsis: Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Fox) are two Secret Service agents assigned to protect President Ashton (William Hurt) at a landmark summit on the global war on terror. When President Ashton is shot moments after his arrival in Salamanca, Spain, chaos ensues and disparate lives collide. In the crowd is Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), an American tourist videotaping the historic event to show his kids when he returns home. Also there is Rex (Sigourney Weaver), an American TV news producer who is reporting on the conference. It’s only as we follow each person’s perspective of the same 15 minutes prior to and immediately after the shooting that the terrifying truth behind the assassination attempt is revealed. While doing press for Vantage Point, Fox mentioned how he loves living in Hawaii: “I really don’t like to get the whole paparazzi thing just in my daily life - photographs of my kids and that type of thing - which happens, but it’s very rare. I think if I was living in Los Angeles it would be more difficult for me, so Hawaii has been good in that respect. There’s not a lot of paparazzi that want to do the 2500 mile trek into the South Pacific to get a picture of me walking on the beach. [laughs]”

Matthew Fox Has Intense Fights With WifeThu, 24 April 2008 at 11:06 amSpeed Racer star Matthew Fox is featured in the latest issue of Men’s Health. The 41-year-old actor talks about his new live action film, being a father and his six-step plan to mastering any new skill. Here are some interview highlights: On fatherhood: “Speed Racer is about the importance of family and the adversarial relationships within them. My father was hard on me in a positive way. There’s a fine line between demanding and abusive. If he was demanding of me, he demanded that much more from himself.” On curiosity: “Curiosity is an incredible part of having a fulfilling and satisfying life. I feel sad for people who have lost their curiosity. I recently met Susan Sarandon and William Hurt, both of whom I admire. I was stunned about how curious they are about people and life in general.” On heroism:”We didn’t want Jack Shephard [Fox’s character on Lost] to be a classic archetype of a hero, riding in to save the day. People aren’t that way. That’s just an antiquated idea of heroism. People have flaws, and heroism comes from rising above those flaws.” On perspective: “Opposing viewpoints all boil down to perspective. Understanding this has made me better at dealing with them. It’s amazing how many people walk around in this world thinking their way is the right way and the only way. That’s pretty dangerous and pretty unforgivable.” On conflict: “My wife and I have very intense fights, but they’re over in 10 minutes. We don’t hold on to stuff. Life’s too short for that. The more you’re conscious of this, the easier it is to reach across the aisle and say, ‘I’m sorry we got here. What are you seeing? How can we fix this?’” Catch Matthew Fox as Racer X (Speed’s rival) in theaters on Friday, May 9. For the full interview and video footage of Foxy’s cover photo shoot, visit MensHealth.com.

I like him. Actually I know him only from Lost, I haven't seen any movie which he starred in, but it doesn't matter. But I love more Sawyer than him...

Matthew Fox Covers Entertainment WeeklyFri, 06 February 2009 at 10:42 amCostars Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly chat up season 5 of Lost in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. “I was a little worried about the start of the season, to be honest,” says Evangeline (Kate). “It might sound terrible to say, but the mythology of this show eludes me. I am all about the characters and the interplay of the relationships and the angst of redemption and retri bution—all those good nuggets. So, in my biased view, I’ve been running around tell ing the world: ‘Be patient! It’s just the first half of the season! We’ll come back!’” Foxy has another, more optimistic take. “It feels very different from what Lost has felt like in the past, but in a really good way,” says the actor. “There will be many, many answers, lots of things from past seasons that left the audience thinking, ‘That’s never going to pay off’—but it does, in really cool ways that make you go ‘Holy s—!’ The season has a real feeling of things coming together, and it builds a groundswell of momentum for the end of the show.” Read the full cover story at EW.com.
