Seeing this X Files section reminded me of somthing I heard on the Radio the other day. They were saying that there is a new X Files movie planned and both Mulder and Scully will be in it. Let me do some research........ Found this: X-Files 2 Movie Returning in 2008 March 28, 2007 Source: IESB by Alex Billington
As much as other people, especially fans of the TV show, may have disliked the first X-Files movie that came out in 1998, I actually thought it was a damn good movie. Now a whole 10 years later they may finally make a sequel. In an interview over at IESB.net with David Duchovny, he told them that they are finishing final negotiations and could start filming by early 2008 if not sooner.
IESB discussed the film and what the story may be or how it may play out a bit further with Duchovny:
Q: Is the storyline you talked about last year still the same? It won't involve aliens or a science fiction element and have more of a horror element?
David Duchovny: Not a horror film when compared to today's standards like Saw and Hostel but more of a supernatural thriller.
Q: Who is all returning for the film?
DD: The story will revolve around Gillian's character, Dana Scully, and my character, Fox Mulder.
Q: Are they going to address the time issue, the space between each film? Are they still in the FBI?
DD: There is no script completed, they are still developing the entire story.
You can check out the full interview and the rest of the details on their site. I'm interested, others aren't. Why is this such a "shrug" of a story? Did anyone else like the first X-Files movie besides me?
More here: iesb.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2162&Itemid=99I'm excited about this, hope it doesn't take them too long to bring it out.

I know what you mean. I watch Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles every week, then find myself humming that Terminator music alone in the house....its kind of ominous.

did they never kiss on the show or something? They had a baby on the show eventually. But their relationship was weird...there was always something keeping them apart.

I might watch this show! ;D What is it about a doomed relationship that is so hot? Mulder and Scully loved each other but would never admit it. They eventually kissed, and had one night I think. 9 months later Scully had little William, but Mulder was still not really in the picture...not because he didn't love Scully, but so much drama kept them apart. I mean, it took YEARS for them to just kiss once.

It was good for a season finale, but I'm feeling like we won't get another season and if that's the case then this was a horrible way to end this show!! Sorry to talk about this here but it's the first thread I opened since I saw OR

It's alright. I know you love that show, and I keep hearing how it might get canceled. I hope not! Good shows are forever getting canceled while horrifyingly bad crap continues season after freaking season. The shows that require thought never get ratings as high as bad reality TV or gameshows...or the ones I personally hate the most...washed-up-celebrity dance shows. DAMN! Don't get me started. So, the X-files....

It's not over yet for OR. I know the ratings aren't good, but there's been no official word yet. And don't forget what happened with the show Jericho. It was canceled, then people signed petitions and stuff and it was brought back. And some shows will just change networks...what is bad on one network, might be good (ratings wise) on another network.

Well, filming has wrapped. David says the kiss was staged, but I kinda doubt it.
Filming of The X-Files sequel wraps Creator Chris Carter, star David Duchovny thank city after secret-filled, three-month shoot Glen Schaefer, The Province Published: Wednesday, March 12, 2008 Goodbye, and thanks for all the aliens.
The cast and crew of the still-untitled X-Files feature film sequel wrapped up work in Vancouver with a press conference yesterday, a brief lifting of a curtain of secrecy that the production has maintained through three months of filming.
"We've had lots of paparazzi," said writer-director Chris Carter. "In Langley a couple of days ago a black SUV pulled up on the side of the road and there was a long lens pointed at us."
Star David Duchovny says he always wanted The X-Files to become a feature-film franchise. Les Bazso - The Province

Printer friendly Font:****The next day, pictures of stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, locked in a full-on kiss as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, appeared on Internet fansites alongside breathless speculation about the characters' are-they-or-aren't-they romance.
"We staged that," Duchovny told reporters at the Sutton Place Hotel, where media were informed Anderson would not attend due to illness.
"It's been a two-way street," says Carter of the prying eyes. "To tell you the truth, I would like to make the movie secretly and put it out there on July 25, have everybody get a gift they could open."
Duchovny finished work late the night before and was catching a plane to Los Angeles yesterday. The rest of the crew were to finish by week's end. The movie is a stand-alone story unconnected to the series' ongoing conspiracy thread, but beyond that they're not saying much.
"We're not doing an exercise in nostalgia to appeal to the fans of the show," said co-writer and producer Frank Spotnitz. "We saw this as an opportunity to introduce the characters to people who may have been too young . . . It has a reason for being, even if there'd never been a television show before."
Carter said their secrecy extended to the fluorescent-pink signs film productions use to direct crew to locations. Their signs read "Done One Productions."
The original series filmed for five years in Vancouver starting in 1993 and became a big hit for the Fox network, in turn boosting Vancouver's filmmaking profile.
"It would please me to no end to think that we were helpful to Vancouver, because this was the perfect city to film this particular show in," Duchovny said. "When we came here, we barely knew what we were doing, and as we got better, the crews grew with us."
The show moved production to Los Angeles after the fifth season and continued there for four more years. A 1998 feature film also shot in L.A.
But cast and crew kept their ties to Vancouver - Carter still has a home in the city and Duchovny has filmed two movies here since The X-Files headed south.
Co-writer Spotnitz said the new script was written specifically for locations in Vancouver and Pemberton, where they filmed for three weeks. As with the series, the B.C. locations stand in for places in the U.S. The producers showed reporters a trailer for the new movie with Anderson, Duchovny and shaggy co-star Billy Connolly searching a snowy field with dogs and sticks for some unspecified monster.
The new story picks up with the main characters in real time, six years after the events of the series. Duchovny, who left the series the year before it wrapped, said he always wanted The X-Files to become a feature franchise.
"This is a great, flawed, questing hero - there's always more stories for that person to be involved in," said the actor, who now stars in another TV series, the dysfunctional-sex comedy Californication.
He brought his children with actress wife Tea Leoni to stay in Whistler during this latest working trip.
"I do consider Vancouver one of the three cities I've lived in in my my life," Duchovny said. "It is a home away from home."

;D I think it's safe to not use spoiler tags unless we talk about the movie, since the show has been over since 2002. Yeah, it was his. She thought she was implanted at some point though. Geez, I havne't seen it in a while, and need to rewatch so I remember better.
