Latest from Ausiello - Update on Claire "Now I'll return the favor with another one of my phenomenally successful multiple choice quizzes, this time pertaining to the fate of a certain MIA island on Lost. We will come to learn that one of the following is true in Lost's fifth season premiere. A. The Island moved forward in time. B. The Island moved backward in time. C. The Island did not move in time, but it did move in space -- to another location on the planet. D. The Island did not move in time or space -- it's still there, but Dharma tech renders it invisible to the naked eye." Source: EWHere is the latest tidbit from EW's Ausiello who followed up the spoiler about Claire not appearing in Season 5 to confirm that she will definitely be returning at some point. Ausiello spoke to LOST Producer Damon Lindelof after the Emmys who confirmed that it is all part of the "grand plan". Here you go: Question: Thanks for the interview with Emilie de Ravin, but do you know for SURE that Claire will be back for Lost's sixth and final season? I'm suspicious. -- Devon Ausiello: I was too, but then I asked executive producer Carlton Cuse and he put my mind at ease. "Claire is a wonderful part of the show and the audience can rest assured that they will see [her] again on Lost," Cuse told me Sunday night at the Governor's Ball. "It's just all part of Damon and my grand plan for how the story is going to be best told. And we don't want someone to be on the show and not be serviced well. The story that we're telling this year is going in some other directions, but we'll circle back around to include Emilie we think in a very exciting way." Source: EW

Exclusive: 'Chuck' Finds 'Lost' BoyMonaghan In what reps his first major TV gig since Lost, Dominic Monaghan has signed on to guest star on NBC's Chuck as -- stop me if this sounds familiar -- a free-spirited British rock star targeted for death by a shadowy group of evil-doers. And the similarities to his Lost alter ego Charlie don't end there. Well, actually, yes, they do. "This is a very, very different kind of character," insists executive producer Josh Schwartz of Monaghan's metalhead, who makes an in-store appearance at Buy More and ends up getting entangled in one of Chuck's spy games. "He's a lunatic in the best sense of the word. And there's no heroin [addiction]." Monaghan's participation is only half the Feb. 2 episode's sell: It also will air partly in 3-D, piggybacking on NBC's 3-D Super Bowl stunt. (The network will broadcast the big game the night before.) Aside from the cool factor of seeing himself in 3-D, what drew Monaghan to the role? Did he have any hesitation about channeling someone who, at least on paper, so closely resembles Charlie? And might his tube return be the precursor to another Lost comeback? Hmmm… Sounds like the set-up to an exclusive Q&A with Dominic Monaghan. Scratch that. It is the set-up to an exclusive Q&A with Dominic Monaghan. Read the whole interview: Here! This is part of the interview: When are you returning to Lost? Monaghan: That's more of a question for Damon Lindelof. I don't really have a huge amount of control over that. I had a great time on the show, and I think Charlie is a character that is definitely missed. I know a lot of people on the show -- myself included -- get asked a lot of questions about when he's coming back. The general public seems to think he's on his way back at some point. But that's something for Damon to answer. All I can really say is if it was the right thing of course I'd go back. Do you still watch the show? Monaghan: I watch it here and there. It's not as simple for me to watch it as it used to be, because, obviously, being on the show I felt it was needed for me to watch it just to stay in that zone. Obviously, it's not as essential for me to watch it. But of course I know what's going on.

Lost Gets a Premiere Date! Nov. 7, 2008 by Kristin Dos Santos Our prayers have been answered! ABC has just confirmed to me that Lost has received an official premiere date for season five, and even better, it's a smidgen earlier than expected. On Wednesday, Jan. 21, Lost returns with a three-hour (you heard me, three-hour!) premiere. "Because You Left" and "The Lie" will air back-to-back, following a recap of the first four seasons (for the very few people who aren't already addicted and/or obsessed). So what does this mean for ABC's Wednesday-night lineup? After the Lost extravaganza premiere, the series will continue on Wednesday nights at 9. Reps at ABC have told me that a decision on new time slots for Private Practice and possibly Pushing Daisies (pleeease?) will be announced next week. Episodes three through six are as follows: "Jughead," "The Little Prince," "The Place Is Death" and "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham." This news comes on the heels of the casting scoop from earlier today about the part of a Lost man's lover. By chance, anyone excited to find out where the Island went? Source

Reiko Aylesworth cast as Amy Reiko Aylesworth is in negotiations for a major recurring role on ABC's "Lost." In at least four episodes of ABC Studios' "Lost," Aylesworth will play Amy, a smart and successful professional woman with a love for the outdoors who is looking for the right man. The actress, who played Michelle Dessler on "24," recurred on NBC's "ER" last season. She is repped by Gersh and MJ Management.

Evangeline Lilly Covers TV GuideWed, 14 January 2009 at 3:18 pmLost star Evangeline Lilly takes the cover of TV Guide’s latest issue. Interview highlights as follows: On her attitude to fame: “I deny that I am Evangeline Lilly…it’s terrible to admit but I don’t care….I wasn’t ready for any of this.” On herself: “I’m goofy and weird and a bit loud.” On the tabloids: “To this day I’m engaged every summer….you can’t give an inch because they’ll take a mile. I don’t have any investment in needing to be the next megastar.” On doing her own hair and makeup: “I decided I’m just gonna be me and if people don’t like that, OK.” On when Kate first sees Sawyer: “There’s almost a feeling of seeing a ghost. I really believe she thought he was dead.” And a few Lost spoilers: By February one character (besides Locke) will be dead, Sawyer may have a new love interest with one of the island’s earlier residents, and the future-seeing old lady encountered by Desmond is ‘more important than you ever dreamed’ (Cuse). The season 5 premiere of Lost airs on Wednesday, January 21 @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

Matthew Fox Covers Entertainment WeeklyFri, 06 February 2009 at 10:42 amCostars Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly chat up season 5 of Lost in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. “I was a little worried about the start of the season, to be honest,” says Evangeline (Kate). “It might sound terrible to say, but the mythology of this show eludes me. I am all about the characters and the interplay of the relationships and the angst of redemption and retri bution—all those good nuggets. So, in my biased view, I’ve been running around tell ing the world: ‘Be patient! It’s just the first half of the season! We’ll come back!’” Foxy has another, more optimistic take. “It feels very different from what Lost has felt like in the past, but in a really good way,” says the actor. “There will be many, many answers, lots of things from past seasons that left the audience thinking, ‘That’s never going to pay off’—but it does, in really cool ways that make you go ‘Holy s—!’ The season has a real feeling of things coming together, and it builds a groundswell of momentum for the end of the show.” Read the full cover story at EW.com.
