Issacs: Making Potter films is a "ridiculously good time"
The Jerusalem Post has a new interview up with the actor who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Potter films. In it, Jason Issacs discusses his love for being a part of the franchise and the Deathly Hallows split:
"We had a ridiculously good time making them," he says, recalling specific scenes with Richard Harris, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes and, of course, Harry himself, Daniel Radcliffe.
Talking about how the last book is set to be made into two films, he says ominously, "I think that's a mistake."
After a beat, he adds, "It should be made into 10 films so I can do it for the rest of my life."

^^ Id hate it! lmao As much as i LOVE Harry Potter films and gosh i LOOOOOOOVE THEM. I would hate them to drag it out for more than two films.
At first i hated the idea of it being split into two. But when you read the last book it needs the two films, too much happens in them. Put it this way. Splitting them into two films gives them no excuses! THEY HAVE TO ADD EVERY LITTLE DETAIL FROM THE BOOKS INTO THE FILMS!!!

^ yeah i know and it would be so irritating aswell lol I thought splitting it into two films was a great idea from the beginning not only coz it means we get Harry Potter for an extra year hehe but because of all the information in the last book. I don't think there is one part in the last book they can cut out. And it's not as if they could fit it all into nearly 2 hours if you think of all the things they have to go through lol

Well for the past two nights I've watched a Harry Potter every night. Its Harry Potter 3 for me tonight. And I've noticed the first two films are 2 and a half hours long. So technically the last book is a 5 hour long film if you shove the two together! HOW FREAKIN GREAT DOES THAT SOUND!!!
And yes. I will be crying like a baby too! haha Me gunna miss the Potter world!

In an interview with USA Weekend for an upcoming cover story, author Stephen King spoke about his influence on popular authors such as JK Rowling: "I think that has some kind of formative influence the same way reading Richard Matheson had an influence on me," King explains. "People always say to me, 'Well, what about H.P. Lovecraft?' And the thing was, you read Lovecraft when you were a kid but I never felt that he was speaking my language. It was chillier than my heart was, and when Matheson started to write about ordinary people and stuff, that was something that I wanted to do. He also talks about Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, saying that she "can’t write worth a darn." While the comments may surprise Twilight fans, most are probably aware of how Ms. Meyer has said herself that she is not a great writer. Or maybe Mr. King is just upset that Stephenie is too afraid to read his books.

Harry Potter... the real musical
(Taking a break from all the Half-Blood Prince news for a moment) Do you like Harry Potter? Do you like musicals? An acting troupe has put together a fantastic Harry Potter musical that you can see on YouTube.
While it's not the rumored official musical we told you about in August 2007, this musical runs through all of the major events in the Potter series and includes hilarious, well-written characters and songs. Please note that there is some language that may be inappropriate for younger views.
