Eclipse Shooting DetailsSeveral cast members have wrapped on Twilight Eclipse in Vancouver and one by one they're heading out. Perhaps for good. Perhaps. As I've already noted, British Columbia's incentives are less attractive than other competing cities. The strength of the Canadian dollar, ironically, isn't helping either. Was at a tv junket all day today, chatting with local production teams, and they are feeling it, worried that the work might dry up. Big hint to the BC government. On Saturday it was Ashley Greene and Taylor Lautner at Vancouver airport looking happy and relieved, making their exits with all their gear, now in promotion mode. With the release of New Moon less than a month away, we will be drowning in Twilight for the next several weeks as the actors embark on a massive publicity campaign that, for Summit, will hopefully result in a tremendous opening weekend take. New Moon could be the biggest "regular weekend" premiere box office of the year considering that the previous summer juggernauts made their debuts on Wednesdays. Last year Laura predicted $70 million and won a bet with Stan. This year she's still mulling over her number. Whatever it is, there's no doubt New Moon will be huge. And its stars will be hustling for it all over the world. We're not quite finished yet though. A few scenes have yet to be shot and this will all happen in studio including "Edward" beating the sh-t out of and killing "Victoria" and...something to make you Twi-Hards jizzy: My sources tell me exclusively that the final Eclipse scene to be filmed will involve some romance. "Bella" tries to work "Edward" Pattinson's Marble Pole. Also there's some corny banter about how he would have pursued her old school styles. Source

Eclipse Filming/Cameo DetailsWhen "30 Days of Night" filmmaker David Slade took the reins of the "Twilight" sequel "Eclipse," his appointment seemed to raise more questions than answers. Would the über-violent filmmaker create the bloodiest film of the franchise? Would he attempt to broaden its appeal beyond women and teenage girls? How much of the creative voice would he wrestle away from Stephenie Meyer and make his own? Now, many of those details are coming into view via a top-secret cameo Slade has filmed ... with a 1980s new-wave rock icon. "[When I was young], I was a huge fan of a guy who does a cameo in 'Eclipse,' a guy named Peter Murphy," revealed Billy Burke, the veteran actor who plays Bella's father, Charlie Swan, when he stopped by the MTV studios this week. "He used to be the singer of Bauhaus." Bauhaus pioneered the "goth rock" music genre from 1978-1983, and although they were never hugely successful commercially, the band made a mark with such memorable songs as "Bela Lugosi's Dead," which the band is seen performing in the opening scenes of the 1983 vampire flick "The Hunger" (starring David Bowie and Catherine Deneueve), a longtime goth touchstone. In the years that followed, Murphy launched a solo career that featured early MTV hit videos like "Cuts You Up" and "All Night Long." "He came in for a cameo, and I was wildly excited about that," marveled Burke, who has his own musical career on the side from his acting. "I saw his name on the call sheet, and I had to give him a call and ask him to have some dinner with me, because I was a huge fan when I was growing up." The so-called Godfather of Goth, who used to rise from coffins onstage and drive a hearse, is appropriately enough portraying a vampire. "He plays a vampire in a flashback sequence," explained Burke. "I didn't get to see any of it, but all reports from the director David Slade, and everyone around say he just kicked ass. I'm real excited to see it." Rather than a Volturi or a Cullen, however, he's playing a predecessor of the warring vampire factions. "[His role] started out as an old Spanish, sort of unrelated vampire, in a flashback sequence," he explained, saying the flashback involves Gil Birmingham's wheelchair-bound Quileute elder. "Billy Black's talking and telling the story of the werewolves, how they evolved, and how they met the vampires and stuff. [Murphy's cameo is] in a sequence that involves that." Although odds are that most "Twilight" fans aren't rocking out to Bauhaus on a regular basis, the cameo is important because it seems to shed a bit of light on Slade's vision for the third "Twilight" film. Hiring a goth pioneer from the '80s could indicate his eagerness to embrace an older audience and a darker, more violent, possibly more male-friendly tone. It also shows that Slade, who rose to prominence with the twisted indie film "Hard Candy," isn't afraid to veer off Stephenie Meyer's written pages from time to time. "I wasn't there during the filming of his scenes," Burke sighed, adding that 19-year-old star and punk-loving actress Kristen Stewart also "did appreciate" Murphy being on set. "I was gone that particular day. But we did end up going and hanging out, and had some dinner and drinks; he was so open to talk about everything — the glory days of Bauhaus and his present career. He was just an awesome guy." Source.

Robert Pattinson Confirms Fall 2010 Start for 'Breaking Dawn' Rumors had been swirling about the last chapter in the Twilight Saga film franchise: would Breaking Dawn get greenlit or not? While everyone from Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey to star Kristen Stewart managed to stay tight-lipped about the unconfirmed sequel at today's New Moon press conference in Beverly Hills, our hopeful hearts got a piece of very big news about the film from none other than Robert Pattinson. Answering the last question of the day, Rob shared his shooting schedule for 2010 – including, at least for now, filming the novel adaptation Bel Ami, the western Unbound Captives, and yes, Breaking Dawn. "I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall of next year," Pattinson said, adding that Summit "may well change that." "Depending on how things go I'm doing a movie called Bel Ami in February, which is an adaptation of a Guy de Maupassant novel," he continued. "And I'm doing, I hope, a Western with Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman called Unbound Captives sometime around there as well. He described his role in Unbound Captives, which coincidentally will bring Pattinson in close contact again with Native American culture – not Quileute, but Comanche. "I'm playing a kid who is kidnapped by Comanches when he was four years old, and he is brought up by them. His mother spends her entire life trying to find me and my sister. When she finds us, we can't remember who she is and can't remember anything about the Western culture she grew up in. I speak Comanche the whole movie. You can't really speak more differently from Edward." Of course, Breaking Dawn remains officially unconfirmed by Summit. Even screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg was mum on the subject when we spoke with her earlier this month. The hesitation concerning Breaking Dawn may involve the mature nature of its plot points and the rumored possibility of dividing it into two separate films. But if Pattinson's penciling Breaking Dawn into his schedule, then so are we. Source.

Loads of Eclipse news coming right up!! -- First stop... Rob Discusses Eclipse! Even thought Twilight: New Moon has only just arrived in cinemas around the world, the third film in the cinematic saga, Eclipse, has already finished its shoot. Under the stewardship of 30 Days Of Night director David Slade, cameras were packed up a few weeks ago, and the film is already in post-production. And, if you believe the bits and pieces coming out about the film, it's set to be just a little bit different from New Moon. After all, star Robert Pattinson has been reportedly suggesting that the film might actually push towards an R rating, as opposed to the PG-13 of New Moon. We don't actually believe that's going to be the case, though, as Summit Entertainment will have a firm eye on the potential box office returns for the film, and if it puts a PG-13-rated cut of the film out in cinemas, then that's simply going to make more money. Considering, too, the large number of teenage girls who have been flocking to the movies over the past weekend, it's going to be keen not to cut off one of its core audience segments. However, dig into what Pattinson actually said, and it's clear it was just speculation on his work. He was talking to SiTV when he made his comments, saying that "I don't know what rating Twilight was in England, like the American PG-13 or 18. I think it's pushing it to the absolute limit. It would be so funny if it was R-rated." He did also note, though, that "It's a massively different movie to New Moon. There's so many more main parts, and having these huge battle sequences, I've never done anything like it in any of the other movies." Contrasting with that, Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, has spoken to MTV News about the greater amount of comedy in Eclipse. Elsewhere, a photo of Twilight: Eclipse has also been released, but given that it features Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart looking at each other, it could have arguably come from any of the movies or promotional shoots that the pair have done together over the last couple of years. The film is due out on June 30, 2010. If it's R rated, we will all get Twilight tattoos done. Source.

More Face Time For Kellan in "Eclipse"You gotta hand it to Kellan Lutz - he gets it when it comes to the Twilight saga. In a recentinterview, Lutz was asked to describe hisTwilight character in three words, and the three he came up with were "lovable teddy bear" (incidentally, the same he ascribed to his own personal character). When it comes to his role, Emmett Cullen, nothing could be truer than those three words. So, to hear Lutz talk about how that characteristic transpires into The Twilight Saga: Eclipse might be a bit encouraging to those who fear an Eclipse that walks too far onto the dark edge. I actually have great scenes with Kristen [Stewart], and it’s really fun making her laugh, because that’s what my character does. I make her laugh when I’m not supposed to, and we end up having to reshoot the scene. If the scene mirrors any of the following catch-phrases issued by Emmett in Stephenie Meyer'sEclipse, fans are in for a fun little trip with Emmett Cullen into the next film. * I’m really glad Edward didn’t kill you. Everything’s so much more fun with you around. * Fall down again, Bella? * I’ll try not to break anything. Hopefully, Lutz will also get his shot at bringing the big teddy bear to life in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, as the character not only has an epic arm wrestling match with the newborn Bella, but he gets to issue zingers like these: * Nice to have toddlers guarding the fort. * You’re monopolizing the bride. Let me dance with my little sister. This could be my last chance to make her blush. * Aw, what a waste. And here you’re probably the one person who could take him – since he can’t get in your head to cheat – and you had a perfect excuse, too. I’ve been dying to see how he’d do without that advantage. * Bout time somebody scored around here. * Hard to feel confident when you’re surrounded by horse-sized wolves. Source.

5 Facts about Eclipse The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been in cinemas for almost a week. So, depending on your feelings towards sparkly vampires and extremely buff werewolves, you will either have seen it three times already (ZOMG RPattz!) or avoided it altogether. Either way, the fandemonium has subsided enough for us to look to the future. It's just seven months until Eclipse, the third instalment of Stephenie Meyer's popular book series, hits the big screen. RT caught up with the cast in LA's Four Seasons hotel during their manic New Moon press tour to get the latest on the eagerly anticipated film. We learned that Robert Pattinson hates pranks, that Nikki Reed loves werewolves and that we may just see a fifth film. Read on to find out more... Fact #1: It's Darker The brand new poster for Eclipse (above) hints at a darker tone with its brooding storm clouds. With 30 Days of Night director David Slade at the helm, it's unsurprising. "Every movie is different because we work with a different director on each one, which I love," Taylor Lautner tells RT. "David Slade is perfect for the third film because it's darker. Eclipse was my favourite book." Ashley Greene, who plays vampire Alice, tells RT that Slade isn't just a prince of darkness. "David is actually hysterical," she laughs, "He has such a dry sense of humour that sometimes you don't know if he's kidding or not. Eclipse will be amazing because he has made it far edgier and more dramatic. It's going to look very cool." Fact #2: There Will Be Less "Love Story" and More "War" "Eclipse isn't as intimate as Twilight or New Moon," Robert Pattinson explains to us. "We're at war, so I get to interact with more characters, not just Kristen. You'll also find out more about the other members of the Cullen family. It just feels bigger." But -- fear not, Twihards -- that isn't to say the love story is cast aside altogether. "New Moon set up a love triangle with Bella, Edward and Jacob," says Lautner. "So we explore that further in Eclipse. It's a tough situation for all of them because Bella is torn between two guys, Jacob can't get the girl that he loves and then there's Edward, with all of his issues." Fact #3: The Werewolves Will Crank Up the Sex Appeal "We all know the appeal of the vampire family," says Nikki Reed, who plays vampire Rosalie. "But the werewolf boys are on a whole different level. They interact with a youthful, playful, comfortable warmth. It's very sexy." As for Pattinson, he admits that his personal jealousy about Taylor Lautner's newly-ripped physique actually comes in handy for the role. "In Eclipse, Taylor and I have lots of scenes together where we have to be jealous and petty with each other," he says. "So it helps that I actually do feel inadequate when I see his body, especially because he's younger than me. He fulfills every criteria of what teenage girls want, physically, in a guy. I felt like a had to prove myself against him." Fact #4: There's More Action "Filming Eclipse actually changed my life," says Nikki Reed of the arduous training regime the cast had to endure. "I have never been so fit -- this is the first time in my life I have actually had a bicep. It's bizarre to compare how we look now to how we all looked in the first movie. The entire cast turned up on set for Eclipse looking super-buff." New cast member Bryce Dallas Howard tried to play a prank on the crew during one stunt, but she didn't count on Pattinson's awkwardness. "We had a fight scene where Bryce had to grab my hair," he laughs. "So she took a clump of hair from my stunt double's wig and was going to pretend she had pulled it from my head. She told me to scream and storm off set, but it was so embarrassing. She had this huge clump of hair in her hand, and I was like 'oww,' really unconvincingly." While the rest of the cast were having fun with stunts, spare a thought for poor Taylor Lautner. "Eclipse is a lot more physical for my character," he explains, "but any time I have any kind of action, I'm a wolf, so it's all done with CGI. It's a bummer." Fact #5: The Ending Will Be Nicely Set Up For a Fourth - And Perhaps Fifth - Film There are four books in The Twilight Saga: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. But Ashley Greene gave RT the strongest indication yet that there might be five films. "We have finished filming Eclipse and one would assume that, if New Moon does as well as Twilight, then we'll start filming Breaking Dawn next year," she says. "The only thing is, Breaking Dawn is a very large book so it would be a really long movie. We're thinking they might decide to split it into two parts, like they did with Harry Potter. Either way, we need to get on with shooting them because, unlike Harry Potter, vampires don't age. So we all need to look the same!" The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is released worldwide in the summer of 2010 Source.
