According to my sources, our Claire-bear (Emilie de Ravin) will not be a regular in season five, but rather she will be on a "holding contract." However, after her sojourn in the underworld, or wherever she is, she will return to us for season six.

Carbonell Confirms that he is Returning to LOST Nestor Carbonell who plays Richard Alpert, in a recent interview about his role in the upcoming The Dark Knight, confirmed that he will be returning to LOST in August. August is when production of Season 5 is supposed to begin filming, so it seems some recent rumors of Carbonell being a Series regular for Season 5 may be true after all? I think this is great news because I love his character and it seems like we will get some more answers about the island!! Latino Review has an interview with our favorite Dorian Gray himself, Nestor Carbonell aka Richard Alpert. In the interview, Nestor is asked what he has lined up, and he states, "I'm working on 'Lost' so I will be returning to that in August." So, fellow Losties, it would seem that, since production on Season 5 begins in August, our man may just be promoted to series regular (fingers crossed). LatinoReview: What do you have coming up next after this? Carbonell: I'm working on 'Lost' so I will be returning to that in August. I'm also current working, coincidently, on the Batman cartoon. This is called 'Batman: The Brave and the Bold'. It's the next Warner Brothers version of Batman, the cartoon. Read Full Interview Here: Latino Review

Carlton Cuse Interview from China TV/Film Forum LOST writer Carlton Cuse, along with Ugly Betty writer were a part of a TV and Film Forum in China to discuss their shows and answer some questions about the industry. Here is a little summary of the key moments from Cuse including some of the spoilers he revealed for Season 5. There is also a tidbit about OGR at Comic-Con. 1) Jack v Locke (Science v. Faith) - One of the fundamental themes of show. In Season 5 Jack will become more a Man of Faith and Locke will become more a Man of Science. Locke believes his destiny is tied to this island. This will be a story line that we will explore in the upcoming seasons. 2) We will learn what happened to Locke and the others. Also, now what is Locke's destiny since he is in "charge" of the island? He has committed his destiny to this island and thinks that it will lead him to enlightenment. We will eventually see if he is right or not. 3) Locke's story is not over. There is a famous guy named Jesus Christ that was resurrected. 4) We already know what our path is and people make mistakes in theories, because there is no simple answer and they do not have enough information 5) Sawyer is his favorite: Handsome, charming and dangerous, everything he would want to be. 6) He gives a shout out to Skaters and Jaters and then mentions that we call them Darlton. Kate will end up with one of the two eventually. 7) New LOST interactive game start at Comic-Con, register to become a member of Dharma Initiative. Depending on how you do on the test you will be a Physicist, Chemist, or even a Workman. 8) Production starts in August and Season 5 will air from January to May 2009. 9) Talks a about Piracy, online downloading, some things about writing and more. 10) Does being a producer affect your story writing? No, we write first with out being a producer and then put on producers "hat". Explains this is the reason why we got an extra hour for Season 4 finale. Do not want to censor themselves as producers. 11) Discusses picketing during the writers strike and why it happened. Lost is currently on hiatus. Seasons 5 and 6, the latter being the show's last, will each be of 17 hours. General spoilers:- 06/12 - Jin is gonna be fine. I suspect that the difference between Michael's and Jin's survival is that Michael was trapped inside the hold, whereas Jin being up on the edge of the deck meant he had a chance to be blown clear of the ship. Emilie de Ravin will be on a holding contract with Lost for season five and returning in season six.
Source: Kristin on E!Online
- 05/21 - A series regular who has been on the series since the first season will not be back next season (season five). According to inside sources, this person's contract has been put into a holding deal and the plan at this point is to have him or her return for season six. It is not Jack or Sawyer. It's a she. Remember how I told you that time traveling and teleporting is most definitely happening? Well, let's just say that it's going to be happening on a much larger scale in the coming seasons.
Source: Kristin on E!Online
- 05/10 - Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof reveal: [Time travel definitely plays a part in the series...] You will learn a lot more about Richard Alpert as the show goes on. He is going to become more prominent in the future of the show.
Source: Kristin on E!Online
- 05/07 - Sawyer doesn't die. He's alive. On the Island. [Locke is alive on the Island in the future.]
Source: Kristin on E!Online
- 04/23 - We will find out more back story as to why the late Libby was in the same mental hospital with Hurley, prior to the plane crash, and presumably after she gave her boat to Desmond for the race. [We will] at some point catch up with Emma and Zack, the two kids from the tail section group of survivors who were kidnapped by the Others in season 2's "The Other 48 Days." To the question of whether we'll ever see Katey Sagal's Helen character (Locke's former flame) again, Darlton indicated that they hoped so. To the question of whether the DeGroots, the hirsute couple who founded the Dharma Initiative, are still alive, Cuse and Lindelof paused a bit and then pressed for more specificity on the time frame of the question. As of where the time line of "Lost" will be when the series returns on April 24, Darlton would only say: "One of them is." Lindelof let it be known that in a recent episode when one of the castaways asked Ben if he knew what the island's smoke monster really was and Ben responded that he didn't know -- big lie. "Ben was lying about the smoke monster," Lindelof said.

- 04/23 - The four-toed statue "will be back on the show," says Damon [Lindelof]. "People will learn who built it and why it has four toes."
Source: Kristin on E!Online
- 02/26 - Season 5 is about why they need to get back, and season 6 is about what happens when they get back.
Source: New York Post
- 12/16/2007 - Lost Spoilers resumed the spoilers released in the Season 3 DVD commentaries: Horace Goodspeed and Olivia are important to the DHARMA story, and we can expect to see more of them in the future. Speaking of volcanoes, there is one on the island. Damon says it will be of "seismic importance" (pun very much intended.) Annie is an extremely important part of the island's backstory, and it is a planned chapter to come. Annie is more important than the Goodspeeds or the volcano. We have not seen Ben's motivation for his role in the purge, but we will.

- 10/02/2007 - Among the spoilers Lindelof revealed: The show's producers have already figured out what they will do with the mysterious character of Jacob, who was introduced at the end of season three. Picking his words carefully, executive producer Carlton Cuse said, "Yes, we do know how Jacob will be depicted. Notice the careful wording of my answer. And no, Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke."
Source: Sci Fi Wire
- 09/20/2007 - Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse confirms that [Cynthia Watros] will be playing Hurley's dearly departed sweetheart [Libby] again this season for multiple episodes, presumably in more of Desmond's flashbacks. "She'll be in enough of the show for us to fill in the missing pieces of her story," says Cuse.

- 05/03/2007 - Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were on the Drew and Mike radio show. They revealed that the smoke monster will not be explained until the end of the series. Source: The Tail Section
05/01/2007 - Lost Spoilers offers us a summary of the spoilers Cuse and Lindelof revealed in the latest podcast: They will be revisiting the psychic's predictions for Claire in the future as well as Walt's abilities. The Others' obsession with children and pregnancy goes beyond the inability to successfully bear children on the island. The Other's definitely have an interest in children with special abilities. That's why they took Walt. There are two factions of The Others and are in no relation to the hatches/stations. They will be getting back to the statue before the show ends. Source: Lost Podcasts
- 04/23/2007 - Lost Spoilers offers us a summary of the spoilers Cuse and Lindelof revealed in the latest podcast: There will be a Rousseau flashback eventually. In it, it will talk about Montand and his arm.
Source: Lost Podcasts
- 02/12/2006 - Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof reveal: Given everything else we have to tell, [Libby's story] is going to be a mystery that's going to have to get answered in year 4. There's really one significant missing piece to Libby's story. We saw in the season finale last year that she met with Desmond, she gave him his boat, and we know that her husband died — and then we know that subsequent to that, she spent some time in a mental institution, the same one as Hurley. The question the audience wants answered is, How did she get from A to B — from Desmond to the mental institution? We know the answer to that question, but the only way to tell that story is through another character's flashback, and that character would have to be another character on the show who is not among the beach dwellers.
Source: Kristin on E!Online
- 11/08/2006 - [Eko might be back and it] might not necessarily be a flashback episode.
Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
- 07/22/2006 - Viewers will learn why Libby was in the asylum, and why the island has healing powers.
Source: Sci Fi Wire
- 05/14/2006 - Damon Lindelof [reveals]: Libby's got this mysterious backstory, of which we've only given you the tip of the iceberg. We know she's spent some time in the mental institution with Hurley, and the idea of killing her before she had an opportunity to explain how she got there... we have a master plan for how we're going to tell that story, but it's all posthumous. You'll start to learn Libby's moves through flashbacks over the course of the next season. So we're not done with Cynthia, but Libby is dead.
Source: The Ausiello Report
- 05/03/2006 - The story of the wrecked research vessel, it will be coming at some point but we can't guarantee it'll be in Season 3.

Naveenon the End of the Show Do you know how will end the show ? The finale will be on the island, apart from that, I don't know any thing in advance, This is what makes the job fascinating but frustrating. I just hope all mysteries will be resolved in a smart way. Do you make suggestions to the writers? Rarely. During season1, i suggested that Sayid lived a romance with someone on the island, and they created his relationship with Shannon. But it wasn't very long...I would like my character to live a new romance in Season 5. If you cant see the image, Click Here!

Lost: Taller Ghost Walt Talks About Who Has to Go Back to the Island One of the (many) burning questions inspired by the Lost finale is, "To whom was Ben referring when he says that everyone has to go back to the Island?" Meaning, who, exactly, is everyone? Does everyone include Ji-Yeon, who was conceived on the Island but never took a breath there? Does it include helicopter pilot Frank, who just stopped by for a three-hour tour? And perhaps most intriguingly, does it include Walt, who left "early," and whose father has surely already paid the piper? Now, I can't tell you yet if Ben's edict includes the babies, but I can tell you what Malcolm David Kelley thinks about Walt's situation! Click in to find out his take on Walt's destiny: When asked at the 34th Annual Saturn Awards in Universal City, Calif., if he thought Walt had to go back with the rest of the gang, Malcolm said, "Yeah, I think I should go back to the Island and stir up a little trouble back there. I think that'd be pretty cool." Agreed! Has he talked to the writers about guesting, recurring or becoming a regular on either of the show's final two seasons? Said Malcolm: "They haven't told me anything right now, but if and when they tell me, I'll go out to Hawaii and start working." In the meanwhile, between now and the return of Lost, hang in there to see Malcolm in a new film he's very enthusiastic about. He said, "I just finished a movie in North Carolina called Mississippi Damned. It should be coming out some time next year, and it's a drama taking place in the '80s and '90s. It's a very good movie—really deep." Can't wait! Anyway, taller ghost Walt back on the Island for reals? Sounds absolutely fab to me—what do you think? Latest from Ausiello Question: I'm dying to have some juicy Lost tidbits. I'll take anything I can get. — BrittanyAusiello: Damn straight you will! Team Darlton is doing their annual “radio silence” thing, so Lost scoop is at a premium these days. Luckily, I managed to unearth this little morsel: John Terry (Christian) and Alan Dale (Widmore) are in talks to return next season on a recurring basis. Big frakkin’ whoop, right? Well, here’s where it gets interesting: In the fine print of both their contracts, it states that Lost has the right to pick up series regular options on both actors for the show’s sixth and final season. For insight into what this could possibly portend for Lost’s endgame, please join me in welcoming the man, the myth the legend, guru of all things Lost, Mr. Doc Jensen! “The prospect of expansive roles for Jack's maybe-dead dad and Penelope's dastardly deep-pocketed pop suggests a theory about the Island's true significance. Here is a seemingly-magical place where the lame can walk anew, the impotent can once more shoot bullets, and anyone can crank o! n ancient donkey wheels and leap through time. In other words, the Island provides the means for death-spooked mortals to cheat the grim reaper. I'm betting that's why Old Man Widmore is so desperate to find it. As for Ghost Dad, the Island allows him to stick around in his inexplicable spectral state and might even be facilitating a full-blown bodily resurrection; either scenario represents a violation of the natural order of things. In the end, Jack will no doubt have to convince his father — and possibly his maybe-dead half-sister Claire, too — that they need to move on. Regardless, keeping Terry around portends an emotional climax to Jack's father issue arc.” Really? You got all of that from my one little casting item? Cool. Source: EW

MoreCheech for Season 5? t took awhile to meet Hurley's dad on Lost, but when we did it was an unlikely but very fun piece of casting, as none other than Cheech Marin showed up as David Reyes. We first met David during Season 3, seeing what a deadbeat dad he was via Hurley's flashbacks. Near the end of Season 4 we saw David again, as the flash-forwards revealed the details of Hurley and the rest of the Oceanic Six's rescue, which reunited him with his father. Today at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, I spoke to Marin, who was there to promote his new Lifetime movie The Miracle of Dommatina. I asked how his role on Lost came about, and Marin told me it all went back to his 1990s series Nash Bridges, which was executive produced by Carlton Cuse. Explained Marin, "It's great, because the executive producer [of Lost] was the executive producer on Nash Bridges, so he called me up and asked me if I wanted to do it. I said, 'You know, that sounds like a lot of fun… It's in Hawaii, right? I can do that!'" So will there be more appearances from David Reyes when the show returns for Season 5 next year? "I think there is going to be," Marin told me, remarking, "It's amazing the way they manipulated time and the timeline with the flash-forwards."Marin laughed that working on Lost has led to unusual circumstances, such as seeing an actor getting ready to shoot a scene and asking, "'How can you be in the script? You died two weeks ago!' It's interesting." Marin said he's learned not to ask Cuse any questions about what's to come, knowing nothing will be revealed. However, he did note that, "I said to [Cuse] the other day, 'Do you know where this is going' He says, 'Kind of!' I said, 'Okay, that's good enough!'" Marin said that when it comes to working on Lost, "The funniest thing is when you're in the makeup trailer and you see the other actors. I don't watch the show religiously, but I hear their storylines." Marin said that he will get curious and begin to ask questions about what's happened so far, "And they say these convoluted [stories] and then the next person has an equally convoluted story. I say, 'Don't tell me anymore! I'll figure it out.'" Source: IGN

Of course as expected, it helps that Abrams knows the LOST producers just a bit. Meanwhile, for those of you wondering about the casting of Lance Reddick (Lost's Matthew Abbadon) as a series regular on Fringe, J.J. said it's a safe bet he'll reappear on the Island. Snippet from the ABC Live Press Tour "Cuse hints that "the journey about how those six return to the island" will be a major thrust of Season 5. Latestfrom Kristin Wendy in Singapore: Kristin, thank you for all the Comic-Con reporting. Do you have any other Lost stuff? Especially about Kate seeing Sawyer again? Actually, I just heard from a reliable source what the new nonflash story structure is supposed to be for season five, and here's what I can tell you: 1. What my source told me seems to jibe perfectly with everything we've heard straight from the mouths of Damon and Carlton at TCA and Comic-Con 2. It could be incredibly confusing 3. Think about the Jin and Sun episode from last season. In particular, this new story structure (which we'll discuss more as it gets closer to the new season) seems to ease my biggest fear about season five: separated characters and character groups. So before the secret gets out and everyone starts bitching about the confusing part, I'd like to say thanks, writers, for listening to us fans about wanting to see our faves continue to share adventures. Cheers. Source: E!Online

TV's Lost audience 'will be lost' Viewers of the fifth series of Lost will not know where or when the action is set, the show's producers have said. Talking at arts and comic book convention Comic-Con, they revealed they would play around with the show's flash-back and flash-forward formula. Executive producer Carlton Cuse said: "We have something new this year. We're going to mix it up." Lost, which centres on a group of plane crash survivors, won a Golden Globe for best drama series in 2006. Executive producer Damon Lindelof said "the flash-forwards were a bit limiting" during the last series of the programme, as they could only show a group of six survivors who the audience already knew had escaped the crash site. "We could only focus on the Oceanic Six because we didn't want to reveal certain things - like Desmond getting off the island," he said. "When season five starts, you won't know when or where you are. And the way we tell stories will be different too." "Also we have the guy who makes the whooshing sound for us and we would not want to put him out of work." US network ABC has allowed the producers to set an expiration date for the show, which will draw to a close after the sixth series. Cuse said: "For us it was a huge advantage to get an end date to the show and that really allowed us to turn a corner. "We knew exactly how much story we had left. It really invigorated series four and it's been very exciting as we plan series five now." Lindelof told the 6,500 assembled fans: "You will be rewarded for hanging on all the way to end of series six. We think that we have a lot of cool stuff from here on out." Lost has just been nominated for an Emmy for outstanding drama series, ahead of the award show in 21 September. It is broadcast by Sky One in the UK. Source: BBC
